New Hope Graveyard
What are the levels in that place? I had thought it was set when you walk in there, but every time I walk in, they are always 12-13 levels above me... I can't even kill half the guardians let alone the boss if I ever made it to her. It's not like I'm waiting 10 levels or something so that it can reset, but I check every 2-4 levels and they are always 12-13 above.
Re: New Hope Graveyard
Most people do Graveyard after Dreadfell or so. This is a huge death (hehe, get it?) trap, especially for classes that don't have a reliable way to disable enemies' damage output. Those eternal bone giants will grind you to dust.nintura wrote:What are the levels in that place? (The rest of people never do it, because there's no real reason to if you're not a Necromancer.)
Re: New Hope Graveyard
I'm trying to do it for the first time so I can unlock the necro. Yeah, I went in there with my lv 32 wyrmic and they were all 43... I was slowly grinding them all down till I ran into another bone giant that was an archer class...
Re: New Hope Graveyard
They tend to be about as hard as any boss. So its really just a load of boss fights instead of fodder for a change.

Re: New Hope Graveyard
Right, I understand that, but I can't seem to be within 10 levels of them at any given time, so I couldn't see how any mage classes could beat that place if my wyrmic couldn't do it.
Re: New Hope Graveyard
I would actually love some tips on how to beat this place. I've gotten my butt kicked time and again here, but I really want to try out perverting death itself to my whims.
I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.
It hasn't worked yet.

Level doesn't mean overly much.

Re: New Hope Graveyard
well, im interested in getting my necro unlocked now that I finally have all 4 pages, so what's the easiest class you can think of that can do this? And around what level?
Re: New Hope Graveyard
On normal mode I go there about lvl 22-24, on nightmare, 23-25. I only play solipsists, oozemancers, mindslayers, and archers. they all find it pretty easy. I do it before dreadfell normally.nintura wrote:well, im interested in getting my necro unlocked now that I finally have all 4 pages, so what's the easiest class you can think of that can do this? MADNESS rocks
Re: New Hope Graveyard
I've had quite an easy time with a Halfling Brawler (on Normal), though I went there only after returning from Far East. Axe Kick is a perfect disabler for the undead mobs from coffins, followed 5/5 Flurry of Fists and a 5-combo-point Haymaker grinds most of them to dust before they can even act. Celia is a bit different story as she will happily attack from beyond your sight range, but you have Track for that, then Rush in and repeat the attack chain. She has little chance to survive.

Re: New Hope Graveyard
On normal and early (low-mid 20's, say), I think I've had it easier with pet classes - summoner, oozemancer, with alchemist a solid third. It was way funnier (and in-character) with a trap rogue, though.

Disables are your friend (stun, silence, that kind of thing... maybe manaburn).Red wrote:I would actually love some tips on how to beat this place. I've gotten my butt kicked time and again here, but I really want to try out perverting death itself to my whims.
Re: New Hope Graveyard
I beat it for the first time with an Archmage around level 22ish (wanted to get the Necro unlock before my inevitable death in the Dark Crypt). Put up your shields, blast it with spells until your shields go down, phase door away, blast it with spells while it walks up to you, repeat as necessary. Melee types have a harder time because you have to get up close and personally with ridiculously high level skeleton warriors and such, and getting killed by one of those would be too embarrassing for words. As a melee type, you'll want some means of teleport, just in case you get in over your head -- just hope you don't accidentally end up in Celia's room! But phase door probably won't cut it if you don't have a decent ranged attack.
On the plus side, once you've disposed of all the leveled undead, Celia's actually not that tough by comparison.

Re: New Hope Graveyard
Halfling thief kills them around lvl 20 with 2 tier 3 daggers bought from a shop.
This before Dreadfell and the elven cave.
stun kick(1) + cripple(1) + AP attack(1) + flurry(2) + bleeding edge (if possible ring)
If they are not dead after that hit them a few more times...
When they are all dead movement speed walk until you are in RUSH distance from Cecilia, then RUSH attack, and then do the same manouvers as before.
Never fails.

My necro wins easy there as well.nintura wrote:Right, I understand that, but I can't seem to be within 10 levels of them at any given time, so I couldn't see how any mage classes could beat that place if my wyrmic couldn't do it.
The key is to cast the mirror of yourself before the fight.
Two enemies is to much for them.
Once I had the choker and we were three who smacked them down like nothing.
