Cursed curses...

So, the curses category that you get early on is skilled at 1.0. If you add five skill points, you can get it to an active level of 5.0. If you add a category point, you can get it 6.0.

However, the listing shows it going up to level 10 in order to affect ammunition. My question is how is that possible to get to level 10? If you get an item (that I've never seen, ever) that adds another .2 then you can get it up to 7.0 but I don't see how it can be elevated any further.

You can go past 5 points in something if you get far enough in the infinite dungeon, I believe.

You can also get a category boost from an amulet of mastery (or perfection).

You can also go out of your way and put all four available cat points (five for Cornac) into this category, getting all the way up to 9.0 (10.0 for Cornac). There are certianly better uses for cat points, but the option is there.
