Question on Brotherhood of Alchemists quest..

Ok.. I`m looking for a more generic view on how you all approach this quest on each char?

I have just finished it for my Bulwark. I ended up taking : Elixirs of: Precision (+4% physical crit), Mastery (+4 stat points), Focus (+2 class talent points) ,and Foundations (+2 Generic talent points).
And in doing it this way.. I did not succeed in getting any of the "Final rewards" from any of them.

Was that a mistake on my part?

1) Are the final rewards worth going for? comparing to the Elixir`s I ended up going for?

2) How do you guys generally approach this quest line.. for each of your chars?

Generally after the Elixir or Focus and Elixir of Foundations, the other Elixirs are still probably still worth more attention then the rewards in most cases. On my Let's Learn Thaloran Shadowblade character, I only got three Elixer's Made before Ungrol completed his set - I didn't get the rewards as my last Elixir was for the Elixir of Avoidance via Stire of Derth; this being opposed to helping Ungrol complete an Elixer of Brawn and thus pick up the Taint of Telepathy.

The key thing with the Elixir's is to go for what is going to undoubtedly help your character out - outside of Marus' Elixir of Vulnerability, usually just picking up needed Elixir's is going to help you out more.

Based on that then, it sounds as thought I actually did really good. Given I got 4 choices , each being what I wanted as well.

I took a closer look at the Final Rewards in the wiki, as well.. and I`m not impressed by them. I mean yes, Marus' Elixir of Vulnerability is powerful. But it`s a one shot deal right? Sounds like it would be very difficult in deciding exactly when and where to actually use that, at the right moment etc, without it feeling like it might have been a wasted usage.

So I guess, as you say.. going for the ones that best helps me now.. is the way to go.. Especially Focus and Foundations.. (probably first 2 to get on any char).

The thing about the Elixir of Invulnerability is that it can be useful on a Roguelike Run or where the character doesn't have many lives (if any) left in Adventurer. If you know you are going to die then you can pop it to survive. However, this likely pales in comparison to more permanent effects in a lot of cases.
