Well the topic say it all. At first I thought the wild infusions were the way to break CC. Things like stunned, dazed, blinded and even frozen. However none of those actually work for some reason. I've tried several types of wild infusion on all these effects. Aginst physical effects, against magical effects, against mind effects. They just don't remove anything. I've noticed that there are some things they work against, but the list is so short and what those things do are not really a bother. Oh, I also tried one items that removed 3 negative debuffs from me or 3 positive from an enemy but it also doesn't works.
So, if the one thing that from the description is supposed to break CC doesn't does it, what does?
Or is this some bug? I mean, I'm sure there must be a way to break CC cause being permafrost to death is hardly fun.

Most of infusions remove one effect of a type at random. You just are unlucky.

Re: How to break CC
You must use a 'physical' wild to get rid of stuns, freeze, daze, etc. But many other effects are physical : bleeding, poison, burning, disarmed, slows, etc. More, most of these effects can have a different flavor (for instance, stuns can be standard stuns, gloom stuns, burning shock, etc, not to talk about the 7 or 8 existing poisons). And only one is removed, whatever the infusion. If you wait to have a full column of disabling effects, most likely this is not the one you really want to remove that will be cleared.
If you see that you start to accumulate nasty effects the best solution is to escape ASAP...

Re: How to break CC
Well as I said, sometimes (rarely) I notice one thing goign away, one thing that I didn't cared about. Most of the times it just doesn't removes anything at all. Say, I have only been frozen. I use it and nothing happens. Sometimes I'm dazed and stunned. I use it an nothing happens. I just do not understnad, the infusions seem not to work at all with me! On a smaller note, it's also worth pointing out that the way infusions are written they give the impression they remove all negative effects, not just one, if they are only supposed to get rid of one then perhaps a more clear description would be in order.
As for running away. Well not much I could do on my last run. I had an incredibily strong beserker going on at level 15. Really awesome gear. I attacked a rare enemy who was apparently alone. when I got around the corner there was one more enemy, not really a threat. i took hits to the face for 3 or 4 turns but nothing major in the damage department. Then I got hit with the ice for 7 turns. The only thing that helped was a regeneration rune. After the ice was over I decided that it was better to retreat, get my health back and then engage again since the rare monster was nearly dead and in one more strike it would die and then there would be no more problems. I took one step back, and once I took a second I was again in ice for 7 turns. I popped a heroic rune hich would allow me to go to -249 when I was at about 100 life but I just died with one turn left on the ice block.
It is also worth noting that the not only I couldn't remove any effects, but I also couldn't attack the ice. No matter where I clicked, no matter what abillity i tried to use, nothing damaged the ice. Similarly the enemy's attacks never broke the ice, depit it only having around 300 HP, despite that I took way over 300 damage myself during the time I was frozen and despite the fact that the ice always takes 60% of the damage.
Quite frankly I'm just at a point where I dunno what I can do in order to survive the CC in the game. It is just a very cheap way to day if you can simply be CCed to death. I also feel like all classes should have a way to simply retreat from very messy situation... not something spamable but something that could save your life when you turn a corner and you find yourself in a situation you are sure you just can't win.

Re: How to break CC
This is the problem that only you do have. If you truly believe this is an existing problem, try re-downloading the game. If it persists, make screenshots and file a bug report.
Quite frankly, being negative like that, while Wild infusions work just fine for everyone else, is not going to help.
I think the description specifies the number of effects cured? I'm not quite sure...

Code: Select all
Activate the infusion to cure yourself of %s effects and reduce all damage taken by %d%% for %d turns.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Re: How to break CC
Not to me. It doesn't say like so many other things. removes ONE effect. Granted, it doesn't say that it removes ALL effects either. It's pretty ambiguous and you have to learn the hard way.
In any case a better description would help and what would help even further would be to make them remove all effects currently on you. if the infusions are supposed to be your CC breaker... then they should reliably break the CC no? At least that makes logic to me.

Re: How to break CC
Well I suppose it could say that it will cure all cross-tier statuses of the available type and one effect of the available types, chosen at random.
But that does seem a bit long.

Re: How to break CC
They do reliable break one effect. Choosing which infusions to wear, when to pop them - that's what makes things interesting.
Ghoul never existed, this never happened!
