Can't beat boss in tutorial!

Noob here, the tutorial is really easy, but the boss at the end just obliterates you, and there's no more monsters to grind on the map...what am I missing?

Shoot the boss with your bow before engaging in melee. This won't really help you in the real game though because no class really uses bows AND melee.

Temporal Warden can quite well. I got one to the prides using both ranged and melee, but died there due to a lot of silly mistakes. They're not the best when played that way, but you can
