Mac Computer-I don't have an addons folder!?

I am brand-spankin' new to this game, and have spent a day trying to figure stuff out. I hate to ask a question like the above, but seriously I can't find the info a raw newbie needs. (I watched a 30 minute video purportedly aimed at beginners, but even IT took a lot for granted.) I may be posting a lot of questions!
sooo Can I just CREATE an empty addons folder?

In fact you have at least two addon folders.

$HOME/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/TalesMajEyal/game/addons

$HOME/Library/Application Support/T-Engine/4.0/addons

Thanks for responding so quickly Doctornull, but I don't find an addons folder in either of those two locations. Since I bought the Game via Desura's Daily Royale, and not Steam, that might explain why there's nothing in my Steam folder, however the second option you suggested, doesn't have one either. My 4.0 Folder contains four folders:tome, settings, profiles and boot.
Am I right in thinking that I can create a folder named addons there?

Yes, probably. It's either going to work, or it's harmless.

The other folder might be inside your ToME.app (right-click, display package contents) in Contents/Resources/game/addons

You were exactly right, Doctornull! I now have a lovely bunch of add-ons installed, including tome-nullnewgems_5.teaa, tome-nullpack_48.teaa, and tome-nulltweaks_22.teaa!
Now all I have to do, is survive long enough to try them
