Best class to unlock Necromancers?

For other players, I'd recommend the alchemist with Gem Portal. I kept opening the casks, fought the elites for a bit and retreated through the wall, using arcane eye to keep an "eye" on the enemy. Use infusions/runes to heal yourself up and use bombs to hit the enemy around the corner. If the enemy comes into your room, step through the wall again to the other room, heal up and rinse repeat. This technique also works on the boss.

With a summoner, I've been in a lot more danger due to AoE attacks from monsters and, my mistake, having no reliable escapes.
