Can I rest too much?

#1 Post by Kaerwek »

As an alchemist, I tend to use rest to heal up me, or my golem.

Now I'm wondering, is there any timelimit I'm competing against? Haven't noticed anything yet.

Also is there anything bad with doing a dungeon in increments, i.e. clearing up to the bosses, and returning later when you're a bit more OP.

Nope. The only exception to that is for Afflicted classes, because resting results in Hate loss. Other than that, take all the naps you want.

Nah, man. This is a roguelike, which is a variation of the RPG. In almost any RPG, unless there's a timer, even if they say that you HAVE TO GO DO THIS REALLY IMPORTANT THING RIGHT NOW OR THE WORLD WILL EXPLODE!!! you have all the time in the world.
And it was such a good idea...

Even when the quest is literally "Hey some crazy dude is killing us all, please save us?", the crazy dude will wait for in-game weeks or months for you to go level and get around to his sidequest before finishing slaughtering people. It's very considerate, really.

Unless, of course, you see an hourglass counting down . . . then maybe resting is not the best of ideas . . .
