Scroll Distance (Options)
What exactly does this affect and how does it work? I've set it to 1 and to 30 and not noticed a difference.
Re: Scroll Distance (Options)
I noticed that too. I want to be dead center at all times. Also, is there an option to change the border around the icons so I can actually see the healthbar of my enemies?
Re: Scroll Distance (Options)
"Defines the distance from the screen edge at which scrolling will start."
- If you set the distance to 1 then this should mean that you walk until you are 1 tile space away from the edge BEFORE the screen starts scrolling in that direction. Pretty much screen blind and relying on the Mini-map to see the enemy.
- It works in conjunction with Game Menu --> Graphic Mode --> Select Tiles Size
- The smaller the tile size selected the greater the scroll distance you would need to be centered.
By way of example in 32x32 selected tile size, I end up with a vertical screen of 24 and a horizontal of 32. So if I set the Scroll Distance to 12, vertically I am always centered while horizontally there is a tile distance of 8 ( in the middle) that I can walk in before hitting the 12 edge set by the scroll distance. - If I set the scroll distance to 1 I'd have 30 tiles that I could walk in before the screen would start to scroll over and if I set the scroll distance to 16, I would always be centered horizontally and obviously vertically.

You can use Shift-T to cycle through the border displays on the icons.
