What is antimagic and how do you get it?

Had the game maybe 5 or 6 days and I've been reading class guides and whatnot and I have no idea what Antimagic is or how I'm suppose to access it. I feel like I'm missing something.

Antimagic is a special skill tree that can be accessed by having a character go to Zigur town and completing a special (and difficult) quest. Wilders start out with it unlocked.

Wilders do not start with Antimagic unlocked, unless they are an Oozemancer.

To go to Zigur you must enter the world map with no magical resource bars, otherwise the town will be hidden from you.

To be fair, I rarely play Wilders outside of Oozemancers...

To be more fair, I don't think it appears if you have runes either. Or at least, Zigur patrols will try to kill you.

It will appear, but the Zigur patrols will still attack.

Ah. And it is disabled, along with all your "arcane" gear and abilities, when you take a cetain quest. And then they're pretty much useless.
