Not that I know of, though I have wished to be able to do that myself on occasion, since I never transmogrify infusions/runes on the off-chance I might need them at some point (unless running a character that's barred from using them, like undead/infusions) and the list can get pretty long and unwieldy by the endgame.Omega Blue wrote:I am wondering if there is a way to group, say, all regeneration infusions, so I can compare all of them at once, regardless whether they are regular, wizard's, sneak's, etc.Hunter wrote:Where? In your menu, everything is done by type (infusions, then inscriptions), then alphabetically. So a sneak's teleport rune will come before a wizard's regeneration one despite the fact that regeneration comes before teleport ("r" before "t") because the class name is first in the item name ("S" before "W".) On the toolbar, you can right-click, hold down, and move the icon around, or you can just go to "m" and assign the hotkeys so the similar types are adjacent to each other.Omega Blue wrote:Is there a way to group inscriptions/runes by type? e.g. wild, teleportation, regeneration, etc.

Re: Dumb questions thread
How do I control which actions my player character will choose when I switch control to another party member? Just died because I switched to my golem and my char decided to phase door, which was most definitely the worst action possible. Thanks in advance for helping me with my noobishness...

How do you find the backup guardians after coming back from the east? I wandered about a couple of dungeons and they were empty.
Re: Dumb questions thread
They are there, but not in all dungeons and not always in the same place where the boss was.Omega Blue wrote:How do you find the backup guardians after coming back from the east? I wandered about a couple of dungeons and they were empty.
If you want details: http://te4.org/wiki/backup-guardians
Be careful, some of them are pretty dangerous.
Re: Dumb questions thread
When you're in a safe place, swap control to the golem and right click on your character. Should be a command like "give orders" or somethin'. Hit that, and it'll open up a little menu that gives several options for adjusting AI -- one of them allows you to set priorities on or outright prevent the use of talents. You can disable PD use in there, just set the priority to zero.hobophobic wrote:How do I control which actions my player character will choose when I switch control to another party member? That's a Dwarf-only starting area.Omega Blue wrote:Thanks. One more question. I have completed both dreams but the solipsist option remains locked. Is there anything I need to do?

Re: Dumb questions thread
You should successfully unlock it after earning the achievement 'dreaming my dreams', which requires SURVIVING both dreams, dying in them does not count, and both must be done on the same character. Nothing else should be required. Are you saying you successfully exited both dreams alive, rather then dying in the dream?

Unless you need to finish the "dream of vulnerability" in one go...
I am playing on the "easy" setting
So no achievements for my character
Re: Dumb questions thread
Unlocks that are triggered by an achievement can't be done in Easy mode, since there are no achievements.
Re: Dumb questions thread
There should be a pop-up dialog box when starting a character in Easy mode, warning players that Achievement unlocks aren't possible in Easy. That would keep people from getting frustrated by grinding out an achievement game in order to unlock one of the more difficult unlocks, and only then discovering that they have to start over. Just something like "Achievement Unlocks Aren't Available in Easy Mode. Continue? Yes No" when hitting create character should do it.greycat wrote:Unlocks that are triggered by an achievement can't be done in Easy mode, since there are no achievements.
Re: Dumb questions thread
Hi guys,
I've recently donated, and decided to register for an Online Profile to get the perks (Item Vault, Casual etc).
So far so good. However, when I try to log into my Online Profile at the main menu, it gives me a 'Login Failed' every time. I can confirm that:
a) My net is on.
b) The game is not behind a firewall.
c) It's version 1.0.0
d) I'm putting in the correct password/user name (confirmed, because I can log into my online profile on the website).
Any assistance would be grand.

Re: Dumb questions thread
Is there anything I can do about stuff like this?

I was a Bulwark. I'd done pretty well with my stats as far as I'm aware, and my build was decent. I've had something like 200 adventurers now, and still this keeps happening to me. This was a particularly bad example - I was OHKO'd from off-screen. I was dead before I even knew what was happening. However, basically all my adventures end, not through a boss or opening a vault at the wrong time or whatever, but from some frankly ridiculous uniques which I have no way of covering. My character had phase door, had disengage, had good gear by that stage in the game - and there was not a thing I could do. One hit, bam. Other times, I'll phase door, usually the only early game recourse for escape, only to end up right next to the thing I'm phase dooring from or in a worse position. It's really just grinding me down - I want to like Tome and an awful lot of the time I do, but even by roguelike standards, some of the deaths you get are cheap as -. There's no learning experience because there's no way, even in the future, I can deal with lv35 Orcish Pyromancers that I haven't even seen at lv.14. I can't say "here was my mistake, so I'll do this differently this time". All I can do is rage as my sense of player agency is completely stripped from me.
tl;dr : some of the OoD encounters are just - up.

Re: Dumb questions thread
Aye, this just seems like very bad luck. It's unlikely, but possible. Something similar occurred in this thread:
http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=36541
And, as mentioned in that thread, having max_ood at 15-20 or so for mid-tier zones would prevent some of the more egregious insta-kills from highly OOD enemies. Another option would be to control the max out-of-depth-ness of rares.
