1. Forcing me to read wiki and spoil the entire game just to register on forums ? Are you freaking kidding me ? Whose "bright" idea was that ??

2. How come people bothered to put "addons" and "create profile" options, but you cant kill your characters. Ever. Cant quit without saving, and dying in this game is 100% impossible, you just fly in space for a bit and get resurrected at the same spot, over, and over, and over again. Some roguelike...

3. What is "physical power" ? Some talents add your "physical power", but there is no such thing on stat page.

4. How does "Repulse" supposed to work ? It...well, doesnt do anything.

Welcome to the forum!

I can answer some of your questions
1. Forcing me to read wiki and spoil the entire game just to register on forums ? Are you freaking kidding me ? Whose "bright" idea was that ??
Someone else commented about this here - and remember that Google is your friend so you don;t really need to read the entire Wiki:

2. How come people bothered to put "addons" and "create profile" options, but you cant kill your characters. Ever. You can change the Permadeath setting from the default to what I normally play the game (Roguelike) which will give you only 1 life - I and a number of other players relish that, but there are other players who prefer to have a safety net. I like the fact that the game caters for players of all abilities.

I'll let other people comment on the rest.
Regards

Jon.

When creating a character you can choose between a few different permadeath options. Adventurer mode (the one you are probably referring to) gives you a limited number of extra lives, and people like to play with them because a) otherwise it is often a really horrible idea to go into vaults and such, which many people find interesting and b) the game isn't perfectly balanced yet, and it is entirely possible to find an OOD Naga Myrmidon or something in the Old Forest that one-shots you as soon as you enter, or a random boss with 17 points in a talent that unavoidably kills you because it wasn't designed to go that high.
3. What is "physical power" ? Some talents add your "physical power", but there is no such thing on stat page.
This is easier to see in the old UI because the new one doesn't have a sidebar with your stats on it. If you 'l'ook at an enemy, an info box shows you some of its stats, among them Accuracy, Defense, Physical, Spell and Mind Powers, and Physical, Spell, and Mind Saves. Physical Power is the stat that is directly used to calculate your attack damage and things like your chance to stun with Shield Bash. The advanced tutorial explains more.
4. How does "Repulse" supposed to work ? It...well, doesnt do anything.
Repulsion knocks back all enemies adjacent to you and keeps them from doing anything for a short time as long as you don't bother them. There has to be at least one enemy adjacent to you, it has to not be immune to knockback, and you have to pass a physical power check vs. the enemy's physical save.
<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

Actually, there's a bug in b38 and it actually doesn't appear on your character sheet. It's supposed to be in the "offense" tab above spellpower and mindpower (it works similar to those). It's based on your strength and the weapon (or knife) mastery talent. Otherwise, what phantomglider said.

Until the bug is fixed, you can see your power levels and saves by hovering the mouse on your character. They appear in the popup window.

Luck is intentionally hidden. AFAIK it helps a bit with all saves, defense, accuracy and crit chance.

Well I don't know the reason, but it's been that way for a long time. At a guess - flavor?

The effects of luck aren't hidden, by the way, so you can see what a +luck item does by comparing your character sheet with and without wearing it.

Does anyone know how to turn on your action bar again if it disappears? I was fiddling around with the resolution and somehow my action bar just went away. I can't find any option to restore it (including going back to my old graphic resolution) and it is still missing if I create a new character. Chat seems to be gone too.

The best way to try and simply survive is to apply the rule of caution. Move slowly, and deal with each threat as you see it. Retreat whenever you feel threatened, and regroup in a safer area. Remember to use your infusions, as well as your skills. And always rest up after any kind of difficult fight. If you're in a dungeon, moving into a 1-tile corridor greatly increases our chances of survival. Though as I said earlier, the main rule of thumb is just to always have a great deal of caution about what's around the next corner.

Is there some scaling going on with saves? I noticed getting talents or wearing equipment that gives 10 save will not show up as the full 10 save in the character sheet.

Is there a cap on accuracy and defense in the same manner? Again, talents or equipment do not give the full amount I am expecting.

Talents that scale with a stat, is this a ratio based on a percentage of that stat over total stats? I've noticed the percentage (like crit chance for precise strikes) might go down as I level up and not put any points into dex (but add points into other stats).

Saves, powers, accuracy, and defense all come in five tiers. Tier 1 is 0-19, tier 2 is 20-39, tier 3 is 40-59, and so on. Each time you go up a tier it takes an extra point of +stat to get an effective +1. For example, if you have 17 accuracy and you put on a weapon with +11 accuracy, because you're only 3 points away from the next tier you actually get (3/1+8/2)=+7 to your accuracy and end up with 24 accuracy. (this may be off by a point because of rounding.)

By the way, you may occasionally notice the status effects Off-Guard, Off-Balance, Spell-Shocked, and Brain-Locked. These are status effects that are applied for a few turns when one of your saves is tested against a power of a higher tier, or for the case of Off-Guard when you are attacked by something whose accuracy is higher-tier than your defense.

No, if it scales with some particular stat then it doesn't matter what your other stats are. Most likely you were putting on or taking off equipment that increased your dex.
