Cursed Summoner… the goal is Atamathon on Nightmare.

#1 Post by Delmuir »

I'm working on a Nightmare build and I'm starting with this:

Talent:

Cursed/Gloom...

Wild Gift/Melee…

Technique/Bloodthirst… this is for Unstoppable.

Wild Gift/Master Summoner… This is for the lower resist effect from Grand Arrival.

Generic:

Wild Gift/Call of the Wild

Wild Gift/Harmony… from heart of the sand worm queen.

Wild Gift/Fungus…

I'm also considering:

Techniques/Two-handed Assault
Cursed/Punishments
Wild Gift/Ooze… for Indiscernible Anatomy.
Wild Gift/Mucus…
Chronomancy/Temporal Combat… Damage Smearing. For this, I'd try Corrupted Summoner prodigy and buff the magic stat...

I'm especially looking at Superpower and Mental Tyranny as prodigies but I'm not sure.

The goal of this build is to use the War Hound and Stone Golem and Gloom to debuff enemies and then wade in with melee.

I've never defeated Atamathon on Nightmare and I'm wondering how to make this build work to that goal. Any thoughts?

So, I started with this:

Gloom, Ooze, and Absorbtion… that's it.

I didn't use melee summons until level 4 as I didn't have a means to recover equilibrium yet. Suffice to say, it was tough going and it took three attempts. Eventually, I managed to survive until level 4.

The telepathically wielded weapons was hugely important to my survival.

Since, I've added Fungus and Wild Gifts/Advanced. I've also added Bloodthirst.

What's missing right now is mobility, and status-effect removal. I'm honestly not sure what would be best...
