Disclaimer: I'm a noob, the idea is just aesthetically-appealing for me, I have absolutely no clue how it's going (or not) to work
What do you think, is it possible to run following:
Grave
Solipsism
Reaving Combat
Shadow Magic
Psychic Assault
Blood
any spell cat
Feedback
and whatever else fits?
Effectively a melee fighter with some psi/vim/mana capabilities, even stat distribution and vampirism.

Re: rainbow vampire?
Reaving Combat is fun with any kind of melee spellcasting, especially a staff build.
Think beforehand which categories you can afford to go deep into, and which ones you'll keep shallow. Solipsism is a good example: it's crap at 1/1/1/1, decent at 5/0/0/0, and fantastic at 5/1/5/5.
Consider grabbing a Mindslayer tree (like my fave, Absorption) for the free melee attacks.

Could you please tell which exact talent gives free attacks?Doctornull wrote:Reaving Combat is fun with any kind of melee spellcasting, especially a staff build.

So far I played this character to lvl 24 and lichified.
What feels great:
I can shadowstep and melee ranged enemies or phase and kite melee ones
I never run out of resources
I have all 3 types of attack
What feels poor:
After losing infusions I need something to cleanse effects. At this moment I have a crown and halfing foot to cleanse stuns, but that's it. Any advice which talent can help with it?
By spreading that wide my burst damage is quite low, and if a healing mob is immune to impending doom, it's very hard to kill it. Are there any more reliable antihealing talents?

Reaving Combat -> Corrupted Strength. It's the first one.oanrmhjn wrote:Could you please tell which exact talent gives free attacks?

Some Attack Runes give you status clears, like Frozen Spear clears you of a Mental condition.
As a Lich, I think you get access to Celestial / Star Fury. That might be interesting in combo with Celestial / Twilight + Celestial / Light... and the latter also helps greatly with healing & status clears.
In combo with Reaving Combat, Celestial / Light is incredible.

I had that from the start, it just looked that you were referring to another talent in mindslayer tree.Doctornull wrote:Reaving Combat -> Corrupted Strength. It's the first one.

I took Light, it indeed helped with cleansing.
Now I'm level 41, and low damage output becomes biggest problem — it seems that onhit effects are not working with reaving combat attacks.
My current setup:
1 1 2 1 Shadow Magic
3 2 1 5 Necrosis
1 1 1 4 Grave
5 0 0 0 Star Fury
1 1 0 0 Reaving Combat
1 1 1 0 Blood
5 0 0 0 Psychic Assault
5 1 5 2 Solipsism
1 1 2 0 Combat Training
5 1 0 0 Conveyance
2 5 1 1 Staff Combat
1 1 1 2 Light
1 2 1 1 Hexes
2 1 1 3 Feedback
no prodigies
7 class points
3 generic points
1 cat point
Any ideas what should I take now? Max shadow and light combat, equip something with even more bonus melee damage and go full melee? Or try to boost magic or psy damage somehow?
Also I have no idea what prodigies to take.
Upd: nevermind, endgame turned out to be much easier than I expected.
