A defensive build pretty easy adventure win character. http://te4.org/characters/59580/tome/80 ... 5d2a80975e
The final fight on high peak I had something like this.
Psionic / Absorption 1/1/1/0
Psionic / Solipsism 4/1/1/5
Wild-gift / Ooze 1/1/1/4
Psionic / Focus 5/1/1/0
Psionic / Nightmare 5/4/1/3
Psionic / Psi-fighting 1/5/3/0
Psionic / Projection 1/1/0/0
Cursed / Gloom 1/1/1/1
Generic
Wild-gift / Mindstar mastery 5/1/1/0
Psionic / Mental discipline 1/1/1/5
Race / Thalore 1/5/5/1
Technique / Combat training 5/1/0/0
Psionic / Feedback 4/1/4/0
Wild-gift / Harmony 1/1/0/0
Prodigies
Superpower
Mental Tyranny
I didn't want the Harmony category but didn't realize I had clicked on it while browsing. I was going to take fungus instead, but by the end didn't really need it. I am going to try some ID with this guy. I think also damage might have been better if I went with rush and melee weapons instead of mindstars. It seemed like physical or spell power with good stats came up more often than mindpower.

Re: A defensive build character
You only have Harmony at 1.0, so you probably just got it unlocked for free when you ate the heart of the Sandwyrm Queen.
Interesting use of Feedback, I've been going with the opposite talent focus for my "mental suffering build (currently on High Peak 6):

Now I want to try a 20/20 Feedback focused dude.

I am still not sure about how exactly the mechanics for feedback works, but it seems to replenish resources fairly well. Resonance Field along with other damage mitigation skills works really well also to give you time to heal up in the middle of long fights. Only thing missing I think would be a better aoe against summoners and some see invisible.

Nightmare is a pretty good area attack, isn't it?Finguld wrote:I am still not sure about how exactly the mechanics for feedback works, but it seems to replenish resources fairly well. With your 2 cat points invested in Absorption and 1 in Focus, I'm a bit surprised you didn't put more talent points in Absorption and Focused Channeling. You can get some amazing mitigation with that set-up.
Feedback seems to work like:
- You get it at the rate of 50% of the damage you would suffer (before Absorption), but this rate changes as determined by Amplification.
- The Feedback meter decays at a rate of 10% of its current total, or 1, whichever is higher.
- The amount of the decay turns into healing at a rate determined by your Biofeedback talent.
So, if you have 150 Feedback in your meter, at the end of your turn you'll lose 15 of it (10% of 150), that 15 Feedback will be multiplied by 149% (due to your Biofeedback 5/5) for around 22 life, and then presumably your healmod will be applied (you have healing factor 1.0 so that's just 22 life for you).
At least, that's what I think from my recent play-through, I haven't dived that source yet.

Re: A defensive build character
I have .2 to absorption from one of my mindstars which i didn't find until late game. Problem with adventurer is that you have so many different options it is hard to fill out categories sometimes. I planned to invest heavily in absorption, but never got around to it. Nightmare is a decent aoe, but it has a long cooldown and doesn't kill things well unless your able to get restless night maxed also.
Re: A defensive build character
Well on level 104 of ID I think I will have to stop since something is freezing the game on this level. I wanted to see how far I could take him. He handled all but two stair bosses very well. A slime boss killed him twice and also a large snake killed him twice.
