Lots. They just don't work.
The best advice I've heard is to find a really good infusion to handle healing (even while resting), and for the first few tried, to not go for the Cursed Aura. It's... needless complication.

yeah the one i was just playing i took the aura but didnt mean to! i was doing ok with rampage but no good gear no good healing and the bosses just killed! i will figure out how to get it to work! i am thinking play cornac get rampage and hope for good gear or do nothing!
Re: Stuck with Cursed!
Cursed have a very weak early game, but get fairly strong near the end. If you're new to the game, I wouldn't recommend them really.

Re: Stuck with Cursed!
I doubt anyone would recommend one of the weaker early game classes to a newcomer. Cursed, Arcane Blade, ...whatever the other toughest ones are.
They're really fun once they're further along, but until then... it's less fun. Sort of.

I am new to the game but I picked up quickly I just have bad luck! I am learning tricks and things! I still doing trail and error! And thanks for the advice!
Re: Stuck with Cursed!
I just want to suggest that you do invest in Cursed Aura, contrary to another opinion posted here. Get 3 items with Curse of Shrouds and set the lvl 5 ability to Shrouds as well and you will have a vastly tougher character.

I concur. It's just surviving that long that's difficult. Unless the Random Number God smiles upon you.cttw wrote:I just want to suggest that you do invest in Cursed Aura, contrary to another opinion posted here. While a little dated, it should still hold true.
Some general advice to get you going: pick Cornac at first, and get the Rampage tree at level 1 - put points in the and bump into stuff. While the first skill is an brilliant damage dealer, it makes for escape. If tings aren't going your way, activate it and run.
The Gloom tree is awesome for making crowds easier. It's tempting to go for some nice damage dealing skills, but DON'T forget this tree.
Find yourself a good regen / healing infusion early. Also look for a movement infusion. (you can use two heal infusions or a heal movement - I prefer the mobility.) Spend your level 10 cat point on an infusion slot.
The senses talent is awesome for knowing what's around a corner - knowing what's lurking makes it easier to not die.
Many of the cursed offensive talents (blindside, the rushing one) are brilliant escapes. Do not forget this.

Run in any questionable situation (infusions / key skills on cooldown, bad status effect you can't cure).
Stay out of vaults.
Focus initially on key survivability skills (rampage first three skills, gloom last skill, at least a point in blindside / reckless charge / couple points in surge, on the generic side max relentless by L10). Preturnatal senses is an awesome skill as well.
For the initial bosses you should face (Prox / Norgos), kite them until they get weakened by the gloom, then hit them, heal as needed then repeat. Don't stand toe-to-toe with them.
Good luck, hope it helps you get started at least.

Re: Stuck with Cursed!
I'd recommend going sword and board at first, you'll need the defense from a shield even though a 2-hander is more thematic. I think the Slaughter tree is not that great, 1 point in each of the first 3 skills is sufficient. Preternatural Sense is GREAT!
Run away. Despite the theme of the character, playing a Cursed as a psycho won't work. You're a stalker.
Also, remember that Blindside goes through walls. Take advantage of Blindside's movement, don't immediately kill enemies that aren't any threat because they give you more places to go.

thanks! i have figure something out and i will try that next time i play them!
Re: Stuck with Cursed!
Cursed is totally hit and run. Surge plus rampage (plus movement infusion if you really need it) lets you cover a *lot* of ground very quickly if you don't get pinned in. Move in, deal some damage, move out before things get too tight, move back in again once you've had a chance to recover. let the autorampage give you your combat boosts for the most part (unless you need it to get up close and personal with someone who'll do a bunch of damage to you on the way in). There are better races than Cornac long-term, but Cornac is great for being able to use the class-defining power from the beginning. Skip Cursed Aura (it's awfully complicated) but do go antimagic (as a Cornac with no Cursed Aura, you'll want a place to put generics).
