The Punishment line, and Gesture of Pain say they have a 25% chance of cross tier effects, what does this mean?
Any tips for playing Doomed would also be appreciated.

Re: Doomed: What are cross tier effects?
Cross tier effects are explained in the advanced tutorial. They are "Off-balance", "Spellshocked" and "Brainlocked", the last one resulting from mind attacks. They are normally applied if attacker's attack stat (physical/spell/mindpower) is much greater than defender's defensive stat (saves usually). Here's what they do:
Spellshocked: "Overwhelming magic has temporarily interfered with all damage resistances, lowering them by X%." The bigger the gap between attacker's spellpower and defender's spell save, the larger is the resist reduction.
Brainlocked: "Renders a random talent unavailable. No talents will cool down until the effect has worn off."
Off-balance: "Badly off balance. Global speed is reduced by 15%."
