Thinking of an Ogre Cursed

#1 Post by Chronosplit »

Because why not? Couple of questions though.

1. Which sustain benefits most from Two-hander with an offhand? Surge immediately comes to mind because it's good anyway, but does Repel see new use with Two-hander availability?
2. Is the Mindpower hit too much to run Gloom? Does the Iron Acorn help offset this at all?

Depending on your difficulty, your Gloom will rarely land a status effect on anything that matters (since Cursed is NOT a mindpower class).

You're intended to switch the sustains, but it depends if you go two hander + shield (Repel and Cleave benefit) or two hander + mindstar (Surge and Cleave benefit). Mindstars make good offhands because of 100% offhand damage, but you sadly can't use the mindstar tree skills besides psiblades with only a single psiblade. Not to mention that they're beastly weapons at T4/5.

Also someone fact check me because I haven't played Cursed in a year or so.

Ogre is easily the best race for Cursed since Cursed doesn't like Survival as much as other classes and an Inscription slot is way better than Predator. Doesn't matter what weapon type you use, Surge is always the best sustain. Maybe put 1/5 in Repel and switch it on when needed but Surge is better most of the time. Always take the evil acorn it's just way better on every build. You'll never have high enough mindpower to get Gloom to be reliable unless you get Superpower which is bad (ICCTW and Windblade/YSBMW/Flex is best) but it's still worth a few points (2-5/2-5/1/5) because Cursed has very few class point sinks.
