#1 Post by sofocles »

Im really lost with these too,
Any ideas about how to work for a reaver?
Hexes have a great thing: gran corruptor can unlock for free

Any strategies? Combos?

Pacification hex is incredible crowd control, and the daze change makes it so it provides a really nasty debuff as well as pinning, potentially every turn on a rather large group of enemies. I hear good things about domination hex (quite a lot is apparently susceptible), but I've never used it much. Some folks have actually got some alright use out of burning hex, but I've never bothered with it m'self.

As for curses, curse of death is rather incredibly painful (it easily ends up as 7-800 damage DoT spell with a nasty debuff, thoroughly solid for boss critters) and curse of vulnerability is one of the relatively few (and even more so, relatively easy to use) means you have for reducing blight resistance. It also makes you hit rather hard in general. The other two curses are fairly so-so, though impotence can act as a pseudo-resall buff (by decreasing the enemy's damage) vs a single enemy.

With a reaver, pacification adds some very nice CC and death/vulnerability loads up even more damage against single targets. Impotence can help with survivability versus particularly nasty targets.

Burning Hex is great for long fights against enemies whose offense is bound by their cooldowns, but Corruptors and Reavers both have such great damage potential that they don't really need to use it.
