Yeah, I'm not too sure about how bad the stamina would have been in the end game since I had a decent amount of willpower from gear and I had ICCTW; so the only notable time i had to conserve stamina after getting the prodigy was fighting linaiil. Still, the bonus damage from the acid wave procs make the long fights much shorter, plus you can use link of pain to almost double the proc damage on tankier mobs

Super late but i just realised with the overall nerfs to demo DPS outside of cone damage and the fact they're getting combat veteran in 1.5 means that this is potentially a very strong build, especially if it's combined with a strong source of proc damage on shield (can blackfire aegis or summertide procs crit? earth fury can't but it has a base damage of like 400 with the right gear)

1.5 update: new chants are pretty good, salves got nerfed but they're still really OP, you can 5/5 combat veteran and actually have stamina now meaning that shield skills are viable and earthen fury is OP. Also more armor on randarts means yes, demo is even better off than everyone else.

Ogre is still the best race too.

Nice guide. I do miss one thing in it: It is possible to find unique demon seeds. In my last run I had a walrog, and a general of Uhrok seed. They go in the body slot. Sadly, they don't give any passives or activable talents. However, they are strong (level 50) summons. I really liked the general, it's a major demon summoning summon. It's summons's scale to mob level (much like the eggsac's spiders).

Now I did not find any other unique demon seeds, but I would not be surprised if there were more. There's more unique demons in the game, after all.

you can gain seed from unique demon but not boss rank one (so no Kryl or Shasshy)
They can go in any(?) slot, at least i had walrog in head, mainhand, and body. They never give talent but are beefier than other demons so they can actually tank for a bit.

They were actually not intended to exist, that's why no talent.
I write guides and make addons too now, apparently

Another note: I am currently running a demonologist in the ID, and it is possible to get higher tier demon seeds, without leveling the Demon Seed skill.
I just found a level 36 thaurhereg seed by killing a thaurhereg I encountered in a vault. I only have level 1 Demon Seed skill :)

Also, I doubt the unique demon seeds are unintentional.

They are. I told Darkgod it was annoying that walrog was such a shitty seed and he was surprised i could get him as a seed

ster doesn't exist anymore. He got banned from the board.

As for seeds that give additional effects on hit you have stuff like the Fire Imp that gives you a passive chance to launch a bolt of fire, the Dolleg gives you a passive chance to launch a blood grasp, Taurhereg gives you a passive chance to silence enemies on hit, and Wretch Titans give you an acid cone attack when you land criticals. There are also sustains that let you do stuff when you attack, and some temporary active buffs.
Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

None of them give any extra melee hits, only procs.
A little bit of a starters guide written by yours truly here.

Can someone explain, how demon seeds and Tinker's crafted devices are interacting?
English isn't my native language.

you can use one or the other in a slot but not both at the same time.

that's all, everything else works the same, you can use demon seed anywhere you normally can and tinker everywhere you normally can and they work as usual

Was looking for a good Demonologist build past 1.5.0 and yours looked the best for me (this one), will probably use something similar in my playthrough.

I have a question about this character, however. Just noticed that your salves have reduced cooldowns. How is that possible? I was looking into tinker synergy with Fungus tree and couldn't decide if using Regeneration infusion better than using Healing Salve with Fungus buffs. I checked your salves for cd references and noticed that they are lower than usual. Looked through items and skills but couldn't find any with cd reduction modifiers. Possibly demon seed effect? I'm not familiar with demonologist yet, it's my next in line class to play.

But the problem is, he doesn't have device mastery. Though if it indeed reduces salves cd, it's quite OP, never noticed it.

Offtop: is there a list of things that will change in 1.6 somewhere?
