Wyrmic for casuals(move to Wilder plz)

This is a weapon focused wyrmic as the way to getting and using mindstars(which might be better, not sure i havent used them on wyrmic lol) is pretty confusing IMO for new players, so we will stick to the basics. I even had a tinker escort I took stats on so you didnt have to worry about having a build you couldn't copy if you either dont have the DLC or just cant save the tinker escort. I died in the scourged pits(random event area) at level 42 with both prodigies. Inner Demons can be purged with a mental wild i guess but instead i just died. Blood of Life brought me back and i didnt die again so whatever.

Progression: T1: Trollmire>Kor Pul>Scint caves> Rhaloren Camp> Norgos lair> HOTG

I went antimagic in Zigur after doing Sandworm Lair.

T2: Sandworm Lair (free stats when you eat the heart)>Maze>Old Forest>Daikara> Urkis Quest
Halfling Ruins. and then Concave Vault if you get it. I have been skipping the place where you get the blood caller ring for months.

If you are on NM or Insane you should probably skip the Graveyard(i almost died this run lol) and Spellblaze. If you DO do either make sure its after you upgrade manaclash doing the Urkis Quest (removes 4 sustains per cast) You will also want this for when you fight The Master in Dreadfell.

Dreadfell>Reknor> Vor Armory and then Briaghs Lair and go back West and do back up Guardians

SWL(you get cat point here with worm bile>scint>old forest>maze>kor pul>trollmire>deadfell>daikara>reknor

If you still need gear after going back east do the spider cave. Lots of good drops here.

Do Grushnak pride first as Plate of the Blackened Mind seems to be here almost every run for me and you REALLY want it. and then the other prides in any order DONT FORGET TO DO THE IMPORTANT NEWS QUEST!

How to play and win:

CHECK THE SHOPS! They update at player level 10,20,30,40! Always look for better infusions/weapons/armor. I found a t4 mind clear torque at a shop i used 90% of the game in the Thalore shop at level 20.

bind shield pummel to your left click so when you spam like a fool you at least stun guys.

RUN AWAY when you dont know what to do. Funnel guys into one tile hallways if possible early game. This is why the movement infusion or Lightning Speed is good. EVEN BETTER! you can use Burrow(takes a turn, be careful, cant run thru trees which is why i died in the pits)) and THEN lightning speed or a movement infusion to RUN through walls and zig zag to funnel guys into you. VERY USEFUL in High Peak as you can just use track and run through the walls to avoid the dangerous mobs. Also if you get trapped in the Sandworm Lair tunnels Cast burrow and then movement and RUN back to a safe spot.

Just abuse your breaths and be tanky as - from Fungal tree etc. Early game you will use Ice claw and Wing Buffet. Once you get to 12 take the Acid breath so you can disarm mobs. From there on you just level Sand/Acid to 3/5 and then get Lightning(stun) or ice(stupid stun) to 3/5 and do the same for whatever you didnt get. I like to start with Stun(not ice)/or Blind breath and then Disarm and end with ice breath.

Swallow: is an instant kill pretty much. Once a boss drops to the threshold just use swallow and delete them. Use often as it has a low CD.

Blocking: Shields block ALL damage up to their block value(from what i understand)
Block whenever you dont think you have another good move to use. Pairs great with Assault or Prismatic slash as a followup. Can always block to buy a turn if a regen or heal is on Cooldown.

High Peak:
Make sure you can track and use something that reveals the area around you (earths Eyes/Eyes of the Forest Helm, Omniscience) and just Burrow/movement around the entire map. When you see a stair guardian make him see you and when he moves off the stairs use your infusion to just run around him and take the stairs to the next floor. The stair guardians are VERY dangerous. Avoid at all costs if possible.

Race: Dwarf. 1/1-5/5/0-1
I thought drem would be cool to use frenzy(can cast the same talent twice) with but as it turns out.. most things die from your first 4 breath rotation anyway and what lives is easy to clean up with your stamina(assault) moves/ Swallow. Just be a dwarf for the massive saves from having money is power.

Stats:
Wil>Str and then Con until you feel safe and healthy and then Rest is Cunning for more mindpower

Class trees/ Genrics

I am going to post screen shots of my char every 5 levels or so so just follow that since you have no idea what you are doing, I barely knew what I was doing and I still won on insane.

Fungal is so good.

Category points

Cat at 10 i took an inscription. You will want a movement, Heal and/or Regen, and a wild that clears Phys stuns. A wild that clears phys/mental would be great but just check the Thalore Town up by Heart of the Gloom for a torque that clears confusion/silence. At 20 Take Higher Draconic. Just follow the pics lol. 34 I took another Inscription so I could take a magic clearing wild into Dreadfell to clear Burning Hex. You NEED a way to clear burning hex(or you will probably die with all your shit on massive cooldowns) in Dreadfell. I unlock Cunning/Survival with worm bile pretty much for Device Mastery. Works great with items like Plate of the Blackened Mind or Spellhunts. I sadly didnt get Spellhunt Remnants even though I looked everywhere for the drop.

Prodigies

I Can Carry The World at 25 gives you a MASSIVE damage increase to your breaths. You will kill almost all trash mobs in the breath rotation you have at 25.

2nd I took Superpower which im not sure is the right call. My mindpower still was not high enough to reliably dominate the final bosses. Maybe Spine or Fungal Blood or Draconic Will would be better.

Escorts

Loremaster: Willpower +5
Alchemist: Willpower +5
Seer: Stats or the Heal
Sun Paladin: Willpower +5
Temporal Explorer : Dream Walk is like a phase door for anti magic, can blink you on the other side of walls and save your life
Thief: Track
Warrior: Vitality and then Strength
(Advanced)Tinker: ask where they learned their craft and take it at 34, just take stats if you have no idea what you are doing.
Defiler: Resonance Field +1 (can set to auto use but this can get you killed if it turns on while you are trying to movement away)

Alchemist quest

+2 class from Hermit, 2 genrics from Last Hope, and then do Stire of Dearth and hope you can get the Lifebinding Emerald. If you get the book to make the special amulet do Lifebinding Emerald/ Petrified Wood but if you dont use Goedaloth Rock or whatever its called. Rock/Wood Amulet ;]

Random thoughts
This is NOT the best or most ideal build of wyrmic. That would probably involve mindstars. But I STILL WON ON INSANE with it so if you are new this should easily carry you on normal.
Shout out to Kruz for streaming and helping me learn some strats especially on the final fight. Shout out to Bunny for messing up a lot of things all the time and being the punching bag of the discord. Praise DarkGod!

How do you manage your equilibrium? Just rest between fights? Or pop in Meditation whenever it's too high and you start failing any equilibrium-based talents? At least from your character's sheet it doesn't seem that you sustain Meditation all the time.

My first ever win was also a weapon-focused wyrmic, so I've been looking for ways to improve my build (it was build around the Cryomancer achievement.. managed to get it on Nightmare in less than 3 full runs  )
Growing old is mandatory..
Growing up, is completely optional.. ;)

Is this guide still mostly relevant for 1.7.6?
How good is anti-magic?
How good or bad is going with a 2HW instead of 1HW + shield?
I had a look at the vault and Thalore seems to be the most popular / successfull race on roguelike insane (most winners). Cornac and dwarf have some winners too, though.
Is it a terrible idea to unlock the feedback category from an escort instead of survival?

About prodigies, what would you recommend instead of superpower? Flexible combat?
