Is Undead Drake actually worth it?

I was thinking of 5/1/4/0-ing undead drake and putting my other cat into combat techniques, but according to tometips each Raze only hits for 26 at 100 spell/mind power (390 max a turn), and the lifesteal would only hit 11%. For as many talent points I could go into Higher Draconic and get a weapon attack with a rad 3 aoe proc, a rad 8 cone with talent fail chance, knockback and stun res, and some free cunning. I think that really sounds like the better option here, but maybe I'm underestimating the damage and lifesteal. Help??
