Such build seems pretty powerful. We go with daggers until lvl 42, and then switch to Exotic using "Legacy of Naloren" prodigy. In main hand is equipped named Legacy, in offhand — some of the overpowered whips. And in next levels we max "Exotic Weapon Mastery" to 10 (marauder has enough str and dex to do this).

Trident + Whip? Sounds like a weird breed of gladiator. An exotic gladiator. Would definitely look great in the Colosseum.

Don't wait until 42 to make the switch. You have a decent shot of picking up exotic mastery (at least a bit of it) from a helpful escort quest... and if you aim to switch over sooner, you can avoid wasting so many points on dagger mastery.

As soon as you get exotic mastery from a warrior escort you can start putting points in it, and if you float only three points in dagger mastery you can avoid wasting any generics.

I just reached level 42 with an ogre marauder doing this.
However, in his offhand he is still using a dagger. I payed 4000 gold for a special dagger and got a really nice one. So I'll be going for both dagger mastery and exotic weapon mastery.
Either way, I totally love this build. A real powerhouse.
