The entrance to the 'sub-vault' events that appear in the Orc Prides and High Peak look exactly like the regular down stairs to the next level. That's not so bad in Vor or Gorbat Pride, where the level exit is always on the west edge of the map, or in Rak'shor Pride, which has its own "boney" tile for the level exit; in Grushnak Pride or High Peak, though, it can mean taking the wrong stairs, which I find vaguely annoying.
So, much like I did with
Shadow Crypt, I've whipped up a quickie new addon,
Visibly Distinct Subvaults, which does pretty much what it sounds like it does.

The new entrance tile I went with is one that I found among the "solid-wall"-themed terrain tiles used for the Sher'tul fortress — which doesn't have any down stairs, so no risk of visual overlap.

You can see what it looks like on the
Steam page image.
And I'm not sure this could go into ZOmnibus, since it's not really amenable to being turned on or off by a game option. (Plus I think people might call it "protection from not paying attention", which would disqualify it from ZOmnibus Lite.

Code: Select all
Hooks:
Zone:loadEvents [to redirect 'sub-vault' event to our wrapper]
