Grueling Campaign (Idea)

I've had this idea in my head for a while, but I'm not sure exactly what to call it, so forgive me, hehe.

Anyway, I LOVE fighting Rares, Uniques, Elites, Bosses.. I take a lot of time with fighting them, and I absolutely love them. Even when I die. But I've ALWAYS wanted to dial their numbers up a bit. I'm seeking an addon that lets the player decide how high a percentage of spawn is for them, and the quantity wished.


On top of that, I feel that monsters shouldn't always fight the player. The player shouldn't be a troll's only problem. Territorial disputes, ambushes from other monsters...that would be absolutely wicked to see. With this, could be a integrated "faction" system. If you find a dispute between, say, bears and unicorns, and you take out the bears but leave the 'unis alive, that race could have a chance of siding with you in a dungeon or flat-out ignoring you until you decide to attack them.

Also, it would be wicked to see adventuring parties within dungeons, having a campfire or such. Some might attack you on sight, some might decide to make deals with you, or offer assistance further down the dungeon for a price, or even ask your help to escape if they've had a failed attempt in the dungeon. It's just odd to see wanna be "adventurer parties" only out in the overworld, but all the dungeons seem to only belong to you.

All as one addon. Now that I think about it, "Grueling Campaign" sounds a bit more fitting. What do you think? Is anyone up for this? I can't wrap my head around the creation of addons for now...

Bad news: I believe the second half would take MASSES of work to make, so it's unlikely anyone could or would put the time in.
Good news: the first bit already exists. Starkeep has two addons that do this; This one just straightup has rares and randbosses everywhere, iirc, and This one makes everything after level 10 a rare in exchange for letting you have two classes at once.

edit: oh, and in the rhaloren camp, the rhaloren will fight with the random critters. :)

All of those are possible. I'd like to see more random events and the like in dungeons, but they would take an enormous amount of work unfortunately.

Altering the dungeon experience to such an extent would take a massive amount of work, as astralInferno is indeed right to point out.

But it would be well worth it! Glory to the addon writer who first attempts this!

(1) As astral pointed out, there are a few add ons that have this pretty well covered.

(2) This exists to some extent (Naga and Yeach in the Yeek alt start, Brawlers in the Hidden Compound join you as you free them, the mind controlled Orcs in the internment camp of Embers), but would probably take quite a bit of work to have crop up randomly in dungeons. Although, you may be able to implement it to some extent with my idea for number 3.

(3)... I think you could do this without too much work by implementing them by way of vaults? Vaults are randomized anyway and can crop up in most dungeons. Just add a vault with an adventurer party, or a lost merchant, or a lone explorer who may join you for the level, etc, etc. Perhaps scale up the number of vaults a little to compensate? I haven't played with vaults yet myself, but I am tempted to take a crack at this. From what I have seen they are essentially very small maps, and there are some maps I would like to add into a couple of my existing addons anyway, so this would be a fun way to learn.
