[1.0.4] Crossbows

This addon adds crossbows. Crossbows are easy to handle, as long as you have the strength to use them.

Crossbows use bolts, and compared to bows they are slow, and dont scale nearly as well with stats. However, they have very good base stats, and a high chance of critting, making them useful as a backup weapon for enemies running around, or just to weaken a strong one. All crossbows have additional critical strike chance and critical multiplier, in addition to shooting fast projectiles. However, they have 100% attack speed and most of them can only fire once before needing to reload.

Currently it only adds 5 tiers of crossbows and bolts and one artifact crossbow, but I plan on making crossbow specific egos and more artifacts.

Warning:This addon overloads shops, and also make ranged shops have 5 more items in stock (so there wont be so few of each kind)

what talents can be used with this? Normal archery ones? Slings tree? Bows tree?

I would imagine Rapid Shot could become pretty powerful with these.

The non-specific archery talents, so everything except the bow and sling tree.

Haven't tried it yet but it sounds interesting, had considered something like this myself.
You mention more egoes and artifacts, do you also have plans on a talent tree?

Although I can't think of crossbow specific talents, perhaps something to make them fire faster(though still not as fast as bows).
Of course an Archer using crossbows might end up not being too viable since as you mention, crossbows won't scale too well with stats...

Haven't worked on this for a long time, and now I have Underdark to work on! But then again, it's vacation so maybe I'll update it.

I didn't really think they were supposed to be used as a primary weapon when I started with them, I only meant them to be a side arm you would fire once in a fight or so, but maybe a special class could use them.
