Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker v1.0.4
v1.0.4
---
Prodigy now requires Strength and Dexterity rather than Strength and Constitution.
Block value now scales based on Dexterity.
The value is 16% of your combined base weapon damage at 0 Dexterity, scaling up to 80% at 100 Dexterity.
Barbarians will not need to know Block to learn Eternal Guard.

v1.0.6 a.k.a "What happened to 1.0.5?"
---
Barbarians now have much more fitting clothing. (Thanks to Rexo for the new art!)
If you are wearing a 'kini when you take the evolution, you will retain the 'kini visual and still qualify for the achievement if you win. Go get that Barbarian 'kini win!
... and because I realized when I was typing the above that I forgot to check the 'kini for the 'never taken off' flag...
v1.0.7
---
Now only grants the bikini visual and achievement qualification if you actually haven't taken off the 'kini before taking the prodigy.

Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker
Wearing bikini doesn't seem to qualify you for the prodigy, so you're forced to take it off anyway. Also, does this new visual apply when you get the prodigy and is it for all races? I used to play this addon only as a dwarf as he at least has his huge beard to hide those dad boxers and the top.

Right, I should have thought about that for the bikini. All fixed. Thanks for reporting it

v1.0.8

Bikini/mankini compatibility actually works and the prodigy requirement notes that bikini/mankini do not count as armor for the check.
Yes, the visual applies when you take the prodigy and it applies to all races. If it doesn't, it's a bug.
Everyone gets the shorts, ladies get the battle bra, males lose the old shirt and go bare-chested. Bikini and mankini look the same as usual.

Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker
I think Munie means that the dwarf beard is hiding whatever is under it, but that is a thing that can't be helped I guess. The doll customize options (i.e. you can have clean shaven dwarves, the blasphemy!) are done only at character creation. Meaning if you start the game with a beard, it will stay til the end, there is no way to use shimmers for the doll skin and features, just for equipment.

Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker
Yeah, I meant that I played this addon as a dwarves for that reason - the beard mostly hid the underwear that looks ridiculous on all characters except maybe for ogres. So the new visuals is just the thing that was missing, thanks for making them.

V1.0.9

Fixed the requirement check for learning the prodigy.
Thanks to a report on the Steam workshop. The previous version would only allow you to gain the prodigy if you killed a boss while wearing a 'kini rather than with a 'kini or no armor. Sorry to anyone affected by this bug. It is possible to gain access by using either dev mode console commands or save editing to give your character the attribute 'can_barbarian'.

Reimplemented sanity checks to prevent errors that could occur when something died and the source was not an actor or no source was defined. They were inadvertently removed when the prodigy requirement tracker was updated for bikini/mankini handling.
Thanks to Rukaneo for the reports

Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker
Having fun with this. Small cosmetic glitch to report: the characters vault obviously doesn't know about the "battle-bra" moddable tile that your addon adds, with the result that a female Berserker with the Barbarian evolution will be depicted as topless on her online character sheet. Not that I'm complaining, mind you,
but if that's something you're inclined to fix, you can probably do it the way Bikini Colors and Thorn Bikini do, by modifying the character doll on the way out to the server via the ToME:PlayerDumpJSON hook.

Re: Barbarian Evolution for Berserker
I'm trying this out now and so far I'm enjoying it. One thing I noticed though is that you can't wield normal 1-handed weapons in the offhand. Not a huge issue since 2h is generally better, but it does feel weird to have that restriction. Ideally you'd be able to wield either 1h or 2h in the offhand slot.

I agree you would generally prefer a 2-hander in each hand, but you're right, it is kinda bizarre to be able to wield an giant weapon in one hand but not a normal sized one. Quick and easy change, anyway

v1.0.13
---
Barbarians can now equip any one-handed weapon in their off hand, as well as two handed weapons.
I appreciate that and I might get around to looking into it some day, but it is not really something that bothers me. Lots of dolls on in the vault end up looking naked due to DLC items, shimmer packs, etc, etc. If this was the only addon responsible for posting the comically cartoonish boobies on the site I might be slightly more concerned, but if devs don't care to fix the issue for official content, I'm not too inclined to worry about mine.Zizzo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2023 8:16 pm Having fun with this.
