Bird eh? It could be done! Let me see how I feel after I apply some polish to the wolves.

Wolf Ally flavor text says "Summon a War Hound". Should it be 'pack member' ? Also I almost had a seizure when I used Wolf Ally and summoned a second wolf. So far it's beautiful. The low constitution on the summons means they're easy to kill but deadly in close combat. Is their constitution always going to be 15 or should that slowly raise depending on character level?

Currently, stuck at 15. They are not your tanks, except maybe at level 1-5.

I'll fix that flavor text for the next version.

How is it playing out? Powerful, weak, destroying the game without effort?

Powerful, actually. Once talent is at level 5, you can pretty much use them with auto-use abilities. Level 9 currently with Wolf Ally and Lead the Pack maxed. (Trans Fist as class, but it doesn't matter.) Yes, you can use the wolves as tanks, but the low hp limit on the wolves makes them a formidable shield for a few turns. I'm going to say that early game, the race peaks and probably by mid game, the wolves will be almost useless except for a hit or two.

I'd really be afraid of a Wolf race Summoner...

nuku, would you be inclined to make a race of any of the following? (Take your pick, really :) )

A Constrictor-snake race, with flavor being a patient fighter.
A Komodo Dragon race, which I haven't much of an archetype for. Because I don't know if they need one, really...
A Velociraptor race, although they'd probably be too similar to Wolves.
A Physalia Physalis. This thing. Probably a debilitating fighter. Like a rogue with poisons...

Definitely an early level power house. I would be curious to see how they fare as they get into the mid tier dungeons though.

I _think_ but am not certain that a wolf summoner would find their wolves counting against their summons, so not as in sync as you may like, also, summoners usually place their pets in just the right spot, where as the wolf just gets them popping out of themselves immediately next to them.

But... but... not furred at all!

I jest, mostly. I will have to consider heavily which race to lavish attention on after wolves get hats.

Scalies have been accepted among the furries for years. :P Where I do like the idea of a snake constricting fighter class, I have to say the jellyfish would be awesome with several racial 'poison' types. A Komodo dragon race would make a nice tank with hardening scales, possibly a slightly lower speed globally?

Edit ---------------

Hmmm, seem to have got the game stuck attempting to generate another level of the halfling complex (generating level 3). Not sure if it's because I had equipped an antimagic amulet before I went down the stairs or a random bug?

I would need to see the crash text to know for sure what caused it. Is mine the only addon you have active?

Going to run yours and one to boost leveling so I can get back to where I was (maybe a little farther to test mid game). It shouldn't affect anything else.

Roger that. Next time, if you can submit the pertinent part of te4_log.txt, I can try to debug.

undead variants? floating cat that spits flies so I can name him Guppy?

How bout Skunk race?
Platypus?
Fox sounds good.

Trying to think of non-cliche animal races used in most games like the Felpurr / Rawulf.

Bear dosent get used too often beyond shapeshifters.

I do like skunks, poor unwashed bastards of the animal world.

Has anyone had more playtest time with the two we have?
