Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
I always assumed getting an extra generic point each level was the intended mechanic. Hence you get 2 every levels except the multiples of 5, where you get 1.
Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
Solved the problem with Inner/Noble Animal. Turns out they were NOT granting points retroactively, so you would only gain generics if you tirelessly invested in them-- Which was NOT intended!

Wait, they were supposed to grant points retroactively? I always thought that was intended.

Got a Ritch to the East and back, but after crash my world map ended up unexplored and some locations missing, such as Reknor and Angolwen. What is worse is that I have chosen alternate path for Tannen quest, so I can't get back East without Reknor. I guess I'll have to resort to debug mode.
Early game was full of close calls, but generally I just bump everything to death which seems much easier compared to my previous flamespit, stinger and blighted runs.
Some things I noticed:
There still seems to be some ID500 conflict, but only with Ritch and Warhound. Ritch can't progress at all, getting LUA error in the first dialogue upon trying to craft weapons, while Warhound gets errors upon trying to use Locomotion (which I wasn't able to reproduce on Ritch though).
During starting scene, Ice shards were speaking for some reason.
There is an empty LUA error when character re-clasps things that were partially successfull.
Heart Racing at TL4+ seems to cause infinite resting when you can see the target without it seeing you. (that might also be due to Improved rest addon, but I think vanilla rest ignores enemies you see through telepathy as well)
After corrupting the Sandworm Queen Heart (during fight) I later noticed that I have a second (non-corrupted) heart in inventory. Upon corrupting it again there was no duplication though.
At Sun paladin dialogue you can mention they don't have a weapon, but they actually do...
Coercion of the Way sometimes seems to go on rampage with message appearing many times in a row with no enemies in sight. This happens for example when approaching Summoner location on world map. Also funny how it confuses patrols.

@Arsonius
WOW, and on Roguelike mode too...
*applause*
RE: The world became unexplored...
Not that I am pointing fingers, but this tends to happen if a new map is loaded without the old map being saved. Simply put, the game gets very confused, thinking that the maps need to be re-generated (since the map missed its "save" cycle after being "loaded"). The typical way this happens is save-scumming or reloading the game via debug functions-- Perhaps maybe from a lua error forcing you to force-close the game.
RE: Bump-Ritch is easier
The funny thing is: It always was. Hardly anything has changed about Ritch's melee abilities since release.
RE: ID500 conflicts
... *shrug* ...
RE: Speaking ice
I already knew about this, but I thought it was silly and funny enough that I'd just leave it in. It's a completely and totally harmless bug.
RE: Re-clasping error
Can you replicate the situation this happens? This has always been an elusive bug, so I never paid it much mind. It does not seem to cause much harm, though.
RE: Heart Racing
Perhaps I'll stop it from triggering if you're in a "preoccupied" state (such as running or resting).
RE: Sandworm Heart duplicates
I've had this happen before-- But, just as you said, the bug could not be replicated... I honestly can't even guess why this happens, because it appears to happen even in the NORMAL game as well. If you can figure out why it's happening, I'd be happy to investigate it.
RE: Sun Paladin dialogue
... Hm? Do you mean on Minotaur? Heh... Sometimes they do, other times they don't. It's odd...
RE: Coercion of the Way
I'll check it out.

Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
Something I've noticed is that it's really easy to sequence-break the Summoner's questline. For example, in my Minotaur Game I never talked to the summoner after the Tier 2s and went straight through Dreadfell. Hence I've not completed Jogging Memories (pt 2) but am already well through Lost Magic and Journey to the West.
Something similar also happens if you Trollmire/Korpul/Derth in a row without talking to him in between. The next quest in line triggers without completing the old.

Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
Well, this is for a reason. Try skipping the first chat with him, doing the first dungeon set, and then talking to him.

@tabs
That's actually how you perform the "Defiance" version of The Summoner's plot, where he will say things like "Where have you been?" or "Did you think you could hide from me?"
Edit: Oh, Kamani beat me to the explanation.

Well, I have been playing Odyssey for a while now.

Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
Well, I always play on Roguelike. I think that playing Adventure made me far too careless and it's hard to break some of acquired habits even when having 0 lives left.
RE: The world became unexplored...
The game did not exactly crashed, but it wasn't responding (probably shouldn't have so much things running in the background), so I killed the process.
RE: Bump-Ritch is easier
That isn't an issue for me actually, I like alternative playstyles, even if they are harder to utilize.
RE: Re-clasping error
I've had it happen several times, but wasn't really paying attention. As you said it wasn't harmless and I think in all cases object was still in mouth after getting error. I'll see if I can replicate it.

An update on the status...
I'll be blunt: Stone Golem is going to introduce A LOT of new mechanics that are going to completely throw off the standard formula of playing an Avatar. For example, Golems are NOT animals, nor are they "living". This means they WILL NOT get "Hoarding Beast" or the various "Natural Combat" talent trees. Also, certain conversations (such as learning "Martial Combat") will not be available for them, while NEW, "stranger" conversations are going to pop up for them...
As this changes the formula up so much, there is A LOT I need to test to make sure everything is still relatively smooth. There's also a lot I need to ADD in order to make sure everything works.
... For THIS reason, it's becoming an inevitability that the "Myths of Maj'Eyal" section of OoTS may need to be completed in order to truly "conclude" this add-on. Even now, I still weep for War Hound, whose Reflections quest has yet to be completed. As such, I intend to finish the "myths" section of Odyssey of The Summoner next BEFORE I move on to Stone Golem, or else it will be just as bare bones as War Hound ended up being. Believe me, you'll be glad I did!
Summary: Stone Golem is being postponed in favor of new content/features (and perhaps maybe even a new add-on, depending on how things go).
Definitely let me hear your opinions about this. I'd like to know everyone's on board with this... Although, even if you're not, I'd like to express to you why it's necessary and my reasons for doing so.

Re: "Odyssey of The Summoner" is OUT!! Find it here...
For myself, I have 3 avatars in-progress and so a delay of new content is fine!
Also, the tooltip for helmbreaker displays an essentially meaningless chance (based on my testing) for it to occur. Perhaps this could be better explained?

Quick update
Currently on my agenda is the War Hound reflections quest. I won't be implementing the *entire* "Myths of Maj'Eyal" pack-- Just the essentials. More will come later once people get a taste for "how" exactly this add-on is going to work... That is to say, it will only be "active" for War Hounds with their Reflections quest and nothing else, for the sake of keeping things stable.
I hope that I will be able to introduce some fun and new surprises in ToME-- All of my own making.
