Everything you pointed out... ALL of it were things EXACTLY on my mind, but I decided to let everyone else have a go and see how they felt. Hearing the same thing from you, now I'm certain... There's going to be some big changes.

So, I looked this up, hoping to understand what everyone was talking about...

... And I wish I didn't.

Hopefully, this thread (and the people posting here) can remain mature, especially when deciding to post on matters involving Odyssey of The Summoner. I've changed the icon for "Crush Gems", but honestly, I am disappointed in all of you who brought this up. You brought something innocent completely out of context, and it's an insult to me more than anything. In the future, I would hope you keep your own... "Traumas" to yourself, and not afflict anyone else with even mentions of something so terrible.

Oh, that is the icon for crush gems? I had no clue what it was. Or whatever you are talking about (and, based on how that was phrased, I think I would prefer to not know).

Also, since ToME staff couldn't help with this issue, I'll just have to let this one go.

"Odyssey of The Summoner" has been updated! (Version 0.5.10)

[FEATURES]
- Added "Wild-Heart/Cytokinesis" to the Worldly Knowledge list.
*** This is a talent tree intended to "replace" the original usefulness of learning "Providence" via Worldly Knowledge. It features talents that remove any kind of detrimental effect-- Something that has perhaps been long awaited by OoTS players-- And even contains a one-time death block to boot!
*** This tree is not really "field" tested, so it could end up being strong or weak. Who knows? We'll see how this goes!

[CHANGES]
- Reduced the duration of the seam created by Fissure.
- For Minotaur: Switched "Mystical Beast" and "Brute Force" as unlocked/locked talent trees.
- For Minotaur: "Wealth" is now an unlocked talent tree.
- Minotaur now learns "Weapon Grip", a talent that reverts you back to the "normal" style of fighting.
- "Mystical Beast" talents can now be learned with Constitution.
*** It seems we can ALL agree these changes were necessary!
- Changed the icon for "Crush Gems" because people are immature. :(

[FIXES]
- Fixed a bug with "Devourer of Men" when absorbing certain resources.
- Fixed a bug that caused the wrong damage values to be displayed for weapons in the "Natural Attacks" section of the Character Sheet.
Decided to make this release because these changes to Minotaur seemed fairly necessary. I have a feeling allowing Minotaur to perform ONLY weapon attacks might be a bit broken-- But I'll leave it to the community to decide on that!

I'll have to try out the update tonight. Looking for trying out Cytokinesis (Guessing that it is the Ooze Worldy Knowledge, like Garden for Rimebark).

Currently in Diakara with my Minotaur (a new one, restarted once you made the changes) and things are super smooth. I took the Raging Beast category at 10 and somewhat regret it. Here's some thoughts:
  • Headlong charge - Losing control of your character is major, major, major turnoff. The bonuses to speed and damage would need to be vastly better for me to even consider using it outside of range 1. Also "mostly immune to stuns and confusions" is super vague and not comforting at all.
  • Thrashing - I like this skill. At high level I can imagine getting stupid amounts of melee retaliation from it.
  • Gore - Unsure of this one's utility. The HP difference between players and enemies is such that 15% reflection isn't much.
  • Annihilation - Oh dear god knockback-on-hit for a melee class?! Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
