I feel like that was how it worked in an original version? or it might have had doubled costs AND burning...I think I tried to model it by giving a heavy amount of fatigue?
I specifically had it not be a sustain. If you burn your life for power, you don't get to change your mind and go back to nature.

Danger to your health is not worth a tiny boost in power and it adds no extra things to the talents that would change the play-style enough.

I'm not convinced that 50% more damage forever is a 'tiny' boost in power.
