Rename Items:
Much like the Merchant's 4k Randart, I'd like to be able to rename other randarts (and maybe the pinkish items, too, but they're less important). If I'm holding onto a few (likely in the middle of a wave of upgrading), a name I recognize makes it a lot easier to remember which one's which at a glance.
Maybe set it up so we bring it to a shop (the Merchant in Last Hope due to precedent, and maybe the Jeweler in the Gates of Morning?), since that'd probably be easier than adding an extra function. I don't see any need to add a cost, though.
Tinkering Outside Embers:
While you can take the Tinker metaclass to other campaigns when you unlock the option and they get tinkering obviously, it doesn't show up otherwise (Adventurers aside, reportedly) - the Tinker escorts just give a handful of passives. I'd like to get the crafting and steam stuff - new NPC (or town?) to sell items and training (at least to pick up Saw and Gun Masteries and crafting), random steam-related loot, etc. My only concern is that the tinker's extractor may interfere with the functioning of the transmog chest, unless you can just replace it with the extractor and not have any problems.
And now tinker doesn't look like a word.
I'm aware some combinations of steam and normal classes would probably end up horrifyingly unbalanced, but eh. It could be fun anyway.

Ah, "Tag" isn't the most self-explanatory option so I skipped over it, but I see it now.
I still want to be able to rename my oranges, though. It's just not as important for functionality now.
