Don't worry..I'm sure someone will come up with an addon to auto-use auto-explore if you give them time!
This is a challenge.
Developing an addon (based on the ones currently existing) which would play the game by itself. Interesting to see how far would an AI come.

I could see use for another condition:

'While Resting'. basically, activate them when you enter rest, and terminate when you stop resting. Useful for talents like Meditation (there are a couple others with the same intention)

"While Resting" would be very useful, yes.
Applied to any regen infusion or mana rune, it will largely reduce resting time.

ToME 2 had a macro recorder with which you could record your button sequences. Wonder if that could be possible here too.

Hey DeathBySnooSnoo! This addon has some similar functionality to an addon I made and released that disabled the saturation check on infusions/runes.

I'm about to double-check things and release an updated version of that, but I certainly wouldn't mind if you included that option here. Especially because you seem to have the know-how to make it better than mine was.

All mine does is forcibly remove the saturation check, so if you use that addon you will always ignore saturation for auto-use. It would be better to have an extra option added that would allow people to choose whether they want their auto-used infusions to wait for saturation to wear off or to ignore saturation and activate anyway.

Auto-use on "condition", for both self and target conditions (stunned, burning, poisoned, confused, sleeping etc... or debuff category: Phys, magical, mental).

Ideally there should be a popup with a bunch of checkboxes when you choose the auto-use option. That will make it more configurable. Or make something similar to Gambit system from FF XII. Store settings in <charname>.cfg file and delete that file on character permanent death.
Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great feedback and suggestions! Glad to see people starting to use this addon. I am currently swamped with work and unable to work on this, but will most likely pick it back up later next month.

It would be neat to see some of this functionality be rolled into the game itself. It seems like the talent execution order screen would be a good place to really tweak when these talents are executed (health, mana, stamina, or whatever above/below a certain %, status effects, resting, ... the list goes on). What do you guys think?

Another idea that I think would really save some peoples lives would be to prompt the user when an elite/unique/boss is in view. This would let you pause and make sure you are taking the correct actions.

Cheers,

Hey,

I noticed a strange behavior when using this addon. I cant accept a target for a spell with "Space". I can normaly do this after pressing the corresponding hotkey and then "space". If the target is picked automaticly by the autouse mechanism, i can only accept it by pressing "enter".

Cheers.

MisiuPysiu,

That is pretty strange. No sure how to help you debug the issue. I myself use spacebar to accept the auto target, and have seen no issues. What other plugins do you have installed if any?

Cheers,

Finally, the framework for a borg for TOME !!!!!

But seriously, this is the best addon developed yet imho.

Will try it out on next run-through.

Im using the following addons:
Extended Auto-use (I consider this a mandatory addon, the game playes much faster with it (well...only if the SPACE issue would be solved)),
Faster Run/Rest/Explore (I consider this a mandatory addon because of the current game performance)
Breeding Pit Restoration Project
Lost City of Vulcus

Normaly i had SPACE binded to the "1" key and to "accept action" key, that way I was able to spam the first skill on my skillbar (for instance the "shoot" skill of an archer).

I just unbinded the SPACE from the "1" key. It seems to work again:)

Cheers and thanks for a great addon!

Is there a reason the game behaves in this way? It's still occurring in the latest version.

Hey i have just added the ability to auto-use items. But i changed the name of the addon since it is significantly different and based on other peoples work.

I got the Voidstar, and after trying to move the talent to a different location on the bar, I kept getting lua errors. Even unintalling the addon didn't fix it, so I just scrapped the character and started a new one. Would look forward to this addon when it doesn't cause those errors though.
