Anti-magic metaclass?

Anti-magic metaclass?
So, I've noticed that none of the classes in the game run anti-magic from the start. The standard anti-magiic skill tree needs some class stuff to go along with it, but we really could use an anti-magic class or 2. Either a hybrid archer/melee class (as with the TW), or one of each. I have no skills as far as coding goes, but I'm willing to learn. I'm thinking the standard bow trees for an archer, and an archer tree that does status effects useful against casters, but with some versitility elsewhere... maybe stun, then confuse, then maybe silence, then manaburn... For melee, mobility based talents, to close the gap, and again, of course, silence and manaburn. It's kinda just a basic idea now, if anybody wants to help me iron out the skills, I'll figure out this coding thing, and make it work. The idea is that I'll build for b43, when it comes out, I don't figure much'll change, so I can get started.
I'm thinking we'll look at 2 classes...
The witchhunter, an archer based class,
and of course, the Inquisitor, a heavy shield based, antimagic melee.

Um, if you want a hybrid class like the temporal wardens, then it kind of defeats the purpose to design two separate classes, neither of which are hybrids.
From a design standpoint, be sure to incorporate skills based on the in-game lore. There is a fair bit of it concerning Zigurians.

I either was gonna do 1 hybrid class, or 2 classes, one ranged focused, and one melee, but...tromboneandrew wrote:Um, if you want a hybrid class like the temporal wardens, then it kind of defeats the purpose to design two separate classes, neither of which are hybrids.
So, I guess I'll wait and see what's released.Sradac wrote:b43 will introduce an antimagic from the start class

Oozemancers are Nature's last resort. They stand behind the frontline, throwing lobs of acid and lumps of slime at all Nature's foes.
Their most important stats are: Willpower and Cunning

Not the most compelling class name

Re: Anti-magic metaclass?
looks like symbiote is finally making an appearance in TOME.
Re: Anti-magic metaclass?
It's not in b43 sorry
You're reading too many source files

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

If you look reaaaaally closely while playing, though, you can see signs of things to come in b43.
Namely, you can see that Poison Oozes are jerks now.
