Doomed - Insane

I've made three Doomed and thus far, all of them got 1-shot in a t-1 including my most recent, which had picked up a ton of extra life and so she had over 400 life on level 11. Thoughtform Bowmanx2 took her down as I stepped around a corner.

What kind of gear is required to survive early Insane with a Doomed? I was sure that much life would have been enough but alas, it was not.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this... but that's 3 attempts down. I'll keep trying.

I decided to go with my patented "dimwit doomed" build because I finally picked up the Feedback category early and... yeah, smooth sailing.

I didn't go anti-magic this time, just for fun, but when you do, I'm not sure if there's a more resilient build in the entire game.

UPDATE: I went with a weirdly sloppy build (Doomelf) and it made it all the way out East before I gave it up, because it was sloppy. Since then, I've gone with the optimal build and... haven't made it past level 18 with five different efforts. I keep getting one-shotted. This last time, during the anti-magic challenge in Zigur. Bad luck... the build is solid but Insane is VERY tricky with damage spikes. I mean, I'm stumbling into 500 damage bursts around lvl 12 in T1s... brutal.
