NM/RL Win: Ogre Paradox Mage

Actually my second NM/RL win, the other was lost due to login errors. The DoxMage has been my favorite class for a long time, and the Ogre has some really funky abilities. An odd match, but it worked.

Since the reboot, I've used Folding a lot, but it's too unpredictable. Matter is a really boring tree, but works really well. Dust to Dust is spammable, and Disintegration lets you go for the dramatic entrance, blasting through a wall to tag your enemy. Matter Weaving grants a nice pile of Armor and, even better, Stun Resistance. Of course, Time Travel, the entire tree, is awesome. Temporal Reprieve was a life-saver several times; grabbing 12 extra turns to recharge infusions and talents and drain off some Paradox is just too good.

The Redux/Echoes of the Past combo requires major points investment, but it's basically EVERYBODY IN THE ROOM DIES NOW.

Loot-wise, decent but not incredible. Boots of the Hunter was so very very nice. Got the Fez, got the Rod of Sarillion, never did get my hands on the TARDIS.

Never did find Blood of Life, never used Ring of Death, though I will admit that Cauterize saved my hide at least twice. The 4 orb guardians were little trouble; I had to skip one of the stair guardians in High Peak. The final fight was ugly. I decided to use my speed to close the orbs, but it was just enough time for the evil twins to take down the Paladin. Argoniel was no problem. But Elandar nearly did me in until I actually managed to make Entropy stick and start draining his sustains.

Now I need to take a break from this game...or, more likely, give that up tomorrow and try a TW.
