A Mad Cat For Sale!

#1 Post by Mankeli »

Difficulty: Madness roguelike

Character: Cornac Mindslayer http://te4.org/characters/121593/tome/c ... 5f7bc1e81d

Problem: What to do with the level 20 category point.

Options: Open up Kinetic Mastery or get the fifth inscription slot.

Kinetic Mastery: Gives a sort of (very badly) controlled phase door...but with dig! Also gives protection against those f**king kneecappers and slime spit/defilers. However, the protection is not reliable since it's in the form of "block attacks completely x times out of 100" not "always reduce damage by x".

Inscription slot: I cant get a bad shielding rune (185 or something), a second average movement infusion (about 450-500 and 5 turns) or a wild (I don't remember seeing phys/mental but my magical curing thing has a pretty good resist all and resists are good at this point of the game).

I'm going to sleep now, feel free to cast your vote!

Was it a spell or mental attack? Those get crits even if you see them. If it wasn't, toss that up on the Bug thread. Should get fixed.

Also, *hands Mankeli two mugs, one full of hot cocoa and one empty* The cocoa is for soothing your loss, the empty one is for you to cry in for Darkgod. Good luck on your next character.
I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.

It hasn't worked yet.

It was a spell yeah, I wasn't aware of this so thanks for the info.

Man, that makes me dislike the way stealth is implemented even more. Also when the talent description says "detecs the mental activity of creatures" then I would expect it to actually detect if they plan on attacting too hence negating stealth boni.
