FIRST MADNESS WIN - Shalore Berserker!! [1.1.5]

Hi again everyone!!

madzerker II the level 50 Shalore Berserker

After many many many hours of Berserker training (yeah, let's call it training), I have finally achieved the (apparently) impossible.

I won't go into TOO much detail. The win involved:

LOTS of Timeless+unstoppable (my basic combo was unstoppable>blinding speed>fireballing myself for harmony sustain global speed>perfect strike>greater weapon focus ring>timeless - resulting in ~200% global speed, 11 turn unstoppable.. so 20+ attack turns, with over 50% chance of double attack.. all while invulnerable ;D)
Harmony and excessive infusion use (lots and lots of movement)
EXPANSIVE VAULT USAGE! feel free to inspect all my "pretty" gear hehe (farmed it using Everything is Unique for mass golds, then vaulted the items)

Basically I'd just do as much as I could during Unstoppable, then run away before it expired and rested all my cooldowns back up. Of course it wasn't all that simple, but that was the general idea.

The last fight was REALLY hard. I closed all the portals, then had to get down to business. I think I died 4 times, including having to use Blood of Life. There was a LOT of running behind pillars and resting.. surprisingly effective when they kept casting Stone Prison (or whatever) on me and letting me rest for a full 40 turns. Argoniel had over 600k hp.. but Elandar was the trouble. Spellhunt Remnants with Flexible Combat saved the day here... I ended up getting pretty lucky; Argoniel stone wall trapped me next to a wall with Elandar, giving me 40+ turns (more for me cos of speed buffs) to lay the smack down.. just me and her. Elandar couldn't do enough damage while trying to put all her sustains back on, especially when they'd promptly be devoured by Spellhunt Remnants... means I could fight her without Unstoppable and save it for when the stone prison expired. The battle with Argoniel lasted over 4 hours.. but it basically boiled down to popping all cd's, fighting til 2 turns of unstoppable left, then running away and resting. Rinse and repeat. I also used the Awakened Staff of Absorption because (THIS IS NEW TO ME) the activated does %hp damage (the first time I used it, it did over 50k dmg!). I was actually just intending on using it for the dmg buff before switching my weapons back... but anyway! Yay!

I finally met my end to the overpowered 8 damage lava floor in Angolwen (was trying to kill Linaniil, forgot to use timeless, unstoppable ran out surprisingly early... damn)

Oh well. Again, yay.

Also, very nice on not using swift hands - it completely makes up for using the 'pretty' gear

Wow, even with using the vault, this is very impressive. I can't believe you did it on Berserker over Marauder since Marauder is clearly stronger , I guess you must really like the class. I'm too scared to even attempt Madness as any class except maybe Arcane Blade since I have no idea how you managed to survive the final battle when it lasted so long.

Did you ever attempt to take 100+ level rare or stronger without unstoppable ? Basically all casters in east have at least one talent with 1k+ raw damage and quite hight crit chance / +dmg / +cri dmg.

4k hp shadows with level ~100 blindside can hit for 1-2k hp easily. Have you ever tried to kill them or similar threat after untoppable expired or it was always unstoppable + escape all the time ?

I agree with everyone else, I'm jealous and impressed. Also threatened, been trying on roguelike since 1.1.5 release and it's more than a challenge. I'm hoping you don't beat me there! No vault on roguelike though
