[1.0.4] Lvl 49 char dies out of nowhere while resting... :[

My character, Eyeekiel, was a yeek summoner in the infinite dungeon.

I'd grabbed full thick skin, armor training, and antimagic shield with the tricky defenses prodigy to try to make him as survivable as possible. I was resting when, out of nowhere a Unique shadowblade stone giant I'd never met before came upon me and killed me before I had a turn to react. Witness:



It seems it must have been able to see me when I started resting. If only I'd had 10 infravision! I was at 9! That Dual Strike did enough to finish Eyeekiel off. What really bugs me is that resting didn't stop when the giant used Shadow Ambush, I'm assuming because the giant had a large speed boost, and then I still didn't get to react after it used Dirty Fighting because the stun didn't land. I could have survived just the Dual Strike, gotten away and put a bunch of summons between me and it. Oh well. R.I.P. Eyeekiel.

Edit: Just realized the giant was probably invisible or stealthed and that's why I didn't wake before it used Shadow Ambush.

Funny enough there is a line that says "something misses Bethemira the snow giant." Was there yet another invisible monster attacking the invisible monster that killed you?

How weird! I completely missed that line. Looking back at the screencap, it appears I still had a summon active. Perhaps my summon went and did me a favor by aggroing this giant right before I started to rest?

As a necromancer I've had the minions aggro, fight and win whole battles while I rested.
