My third winner. Concentrated on defense and passive boosts early - 5/5 in dual weapon defense early, 5/5 blur sight when I could spare the points, unlocked spell/temporal at level 10, ran offense mostly through shadow step once I got it (along with the invaluable arcane eye, which I picked up from an escort) unlocked celestial/light and the ambush tree later, then proceeded to abuse the game with ambuscade. Took Arcane Might as the first prodigy since I had been investing in magic. Took windblade for the second. I found windblade a very useful solution to shadowblade's lack of big multi-target damage.

Thoughts:
Deadly Strikes is really, really useful as an instant cast.

High defense can take you a long way in this game, a lot longer than I thought it would.

Arcane Eye => Ambuscade => Shadowstep is a risk-free way to clear a vault. The overpowered multi-hued wyrms in Vor armory couldn't be killed because of their 'In Vault' status, but every other vault I encountered I emptied before opening the door.

So. Shadow Veil. As it is currently coded, when you use shadow veil and have high global speed, you get turns where you can do stuff even if enemies are in sight. I gather this is not supposed to be how it works. Anyway. Turns out you can use shadow veil, then on turn two use ambuscade, and while you control your shadow, which is teleporting around stabbing things and getting extra turns to stab things, your unconscious body is also teleporting around stabbing things. The safest strat. Elandar was dead before shadow veil ended, even with random turns attacking whatsername. Aeryn never got below 95% health. It was the best.

First time beating Atamathon. Surprising no one, strategy was to hide, use ambuscade, and teleport to his location. Giant leap is fairly terrifying when you're looking for a genocidebot via arcane eye, but I got him in the end.

I welcome any questions or comments.
