Got interested in giving it a try, so Bolea, the slinger bree-woman went treasure hunting.

So long I've went through the Old Forest, Amôn Sul, the Trollshaws and cleared the first level of Carn D?m, but decided to go to the Maze first and try to get some res or some better equipment at least.

I have an entry as well, and it's going to be my only entry.
1) The challenge while fun wasn't really much of a challenge actually. Not needing to buy stuff because of good scroll and potion drops is probably why, but if 'no shops'/'no selling'/ect. are defaulted in the game I WILL leave because that's just stupid.

2) It was fun not carrying anything, probably because I picked (arguably) the best class for this. I'm surprised that there aren't any other alchemists doing this. Considering your #1 ability is using the now 'junk' that you find and making it do something really supersedes the challenge kinda. Anything that wasn't double ego-ed or high material quality that was metal I converted into alchemist stones. As I got better equipment for the golem (who I really didn't pay heed to by the way, he was more of either a jelly summon or war hound summon the whole time) I turned it into stones.

3) The throw bombs stones side effects like extra arcane damage, I assumed I would resist that as well as I have 100% resist to the damage dealt by my bombs. Instead, I'm doing full damage to my self with the extra damage. I ... don't like that.

That stupid spider was utterly unbeatable for this character. It one shotted my level 18 golem with 400+ hp and wielding (Sturdy) Galvorn Mail armor of Fire Res (I think it was +20% physical and +22% fire res). I was able to daze it a few times while trying to get away from it but it seemed to chase after me quicker than I could move. I probably should have phased away but it was a VERY open area of Carn Dum and any freeze would have probably resulted in death anyway. I was carrying the mithril axe for the golem if he would have reached 48 strength at any point.

Question: With imbue item, what CAN you imbue? Just body slot armor, or weapons, lamps, ect?

Beef: The sustainable infusion talents. Graphically I can see why I can't sustain more than one (and the lightning graphic in particular is AWESOME), but I always assumed that I was able to infuse my bombs with multiple elements causing a maelstrom of elemental magic. Any particular reason why I can't sustain more than one of them, AND why when one is sustained, it replaces the fire damage (and burning status) that they have as default? Along with that, why am I still able to burn/blind/daze/freeze myself with my own bombs, along with the golem? If I'm able to completely void the damage (including the burn damage), why am I still effected by the bombs' status change? I always thought that you had to be dealt damage to have the status inflicted.

And, that's my one and only entry into the challenge. Didn't enter a town, and I'm surprised by how little money I had.

Imbue can only work on body armour, it's said in the talent description :)

The Master is down and out! Killed by multiple corrosive vapour - I decided not to use anything else.

So I would shoot him and control PD away then shoot again. Kinda fun!

Zinger complained about the lack of Jewels he dropped only 1 choker and not very pretty at that, but she is vain so has worn it!

Went to Minas Tirith and as soon as she heard about the mines of Moria she was away! Muttering about jewels, jewels and all the pretty things she could have!

I forgot to save the character dump, but Lillith fell in the undead pride of the Far East. She managed to unlock skeletons beforehand, though, so not a total loss. Back to programming my module I guess, and good luck to the rest of you!

Someguy the lvl 45 breeman archmage cleared 3 of the prides and established a portal back to minas tirith (he donated the 200g towards charity and didn't use the portal, so i saw no harm in that).

He's now torn between going to Eruan and helping Limmir.
So..is buying a special ring from Limmir after the quest ok or not? Otherwise i'd probably skip this. I don't strictly NEED the ring, didn't find an empty one yet anyway, but i'm kinda loathe to bother with this if there's no real reward..plus i've got tons of nice gems.

Correct, no monetary transactions. Except that you should be able to return home so I will allow this! So spend the 200 to create your way home! I admit to having heavy fingers here and hitting the return key twice so accidentally did this... If someone wants to call me on it I will of course retire Zinger (with all her pretty jewels!!!)

You really find that staff more useful in your offhand equipment than ringil + dragon shield?

well, my reasoning is this:
a) I didnt bother getting ringil.
b) I have the elemental crown which is better for a mage.
c) I dont really need the more armor or defense
d) I would rather use glamdring, but I didnt bother switching it in yet as I wanted to get some more command orbs first.
e) I will probably be scumming vor for a while looking for dragonbone staffs of wizardry

so yeah, I probably will start wearing glamdring and the dragon shield in my off hand.... hmmm, or maybe my primary hand just for laughs.
