i'm not sure about armament. decided the dwarven steel dagger and the stralite dagger would be better than the randart daggers. the randart daggers obtained in the Unknown Tunnels (alas the merchant perished, may he rest in peace), were really helpful.

what really puzzles me is that i managed to find TWO identical randarts: the armour Turamnir...

well so far this shadowblade is promising enough.

The dagger that does 30 fire/12 blight is probably your best choice at this stage of the game, particularly if those bonuses apply to BOTH hands. (I don't know whether they do -- you'll want to find out.)

However, the base damage on it is really low, so it isn't going to scale well in the endgame.

It also won't be so great against fire resistant creatures. Keep an eye on how much damage you're doing and switch when appropriate.

You should be just able to afford the pieces for an onyx ring and I'd swap either one of your useless rings for that. You don't yet have enough cash for a randart ring; maybe you have enough after selling your worthless daggers (i.e., everything but your stralite dagger and the Yvariabeth) and at least one copy of your randart armor to buy a STR, DEX, CON or MAG ring too if any are on sale.

With only 30% stun resistance showing, I'd go for an onyx ring and a quartz ring; or two quartz rings.

(I'm not quite sure how important the difference between 30% and 60% and 90% stun resistance is in these new versions, since stunning was changed to be less deadly.)

With 30% res you would move over 3 times slower than enemies when stunned. With 60% res you'd be less than 2 times slower. So it is a fairly big difference. Crucially if 60% red when stunned it means monsters will get 1 free turn before you act. With 30% res they might get 3 free turns.

However this can be mitigated by appropriate strategy around stunning creatures, high defense, and high physical saving throw.

If I read correctly you were under 100 HP and decided to use a regular melee attack on the giant? Might have been better healing, or phasing out, or at least using Dual Strike to try and stun it...

I'd also recommend you pump Con more and put some generic points into the Health tree. More Life can save your life :)
