I learned a few things this game:
- Shalore are amazing. Timeless in particular has so many awesome uses. I primarily used it to extend my buffs. I would cast heroism, perfect strike, blinding speed, shielding rune, and greater weapon focus. Then cast timeless for an amazingly long high powered buff.
- Step up is also awesome. This has to be one of my favorite abilities. So many tactical uses and it promotes a slightly risky play-style which is fun.
- Telepathy feels overpowered if you can find the right items. I had orc/human, dragon, horror, and canine telepathy with a range of 20!!! So for almost every threat in the late game I had early warning and could auto-explore pretty much without risk.
- Using the vault can help the mid game a lot. I used the vault to get a couple of items, the most important being the temporal rift shield. I used that the whole game and when I grabbed it it boosted my damage significantly.
- The stamina reduction from I can carry the world (ICCTW) is very significant. I was having stamina problems until I took the prodigy at level 30. Afterwards, pretty much didn't have any stamina problems until the final fight.
- The stair bosses in high peak can be BRUTAL! I didn't die at all until high peak and then died 4 times to stair bosses and 1 times to the final boss. I should remember just to skip them and run for the stairs next time I get there, especially on roguelike.
- Speed reduction on hit is very powerful. On most rares, uniques, and even some bosses, I would hit them a few times and they would be down to 50% global speed. After that they would pose very little threat.
Also, this is the first nightmare bulwark winner in 14 weeks so I feel pretty proud about that
