1.1.5 ~ Thalore Fire Alchemist - First Win

AKA ~ A poor implentation of rather half noodled ideas that miracle of mirages somewhat succeeded.

Pretty basic, went for the trifecta of damage bonus, damage penetration and crit multiplier. Skipped the whole infusion tree, didn't really miss it. Early on I ran into some luminous and floated points into acid infusion to deal with their damage affinity, later on I could just +staff command and channel staff was enough. Late game I got Manathrust ( Void Orb) and Moonlight Ray, so plenty of different elemental beams but luminaries were the only enemies that refused to burn.

The Fire/Alchemy tree was actually quite decent. Body of Fire racked up plenty of kills and Fire Storm when the enemy closed, then Blastwave ( Molten Skin armour) to push em back again +ablaze. If I didn't have Throw Bomb = Heat and Smoke may have played a bigger role.

Advanced-golemancy was a must.

I opened Corruption/Hexes, really only situational use but I spammed it anyways. Burn ..baby.. burn.

3 Infusions. Huzzah! Basically using Life Tap, and 2 infusions to keep myself going but Mobility was def a problem, I felt extremely slow. Gem Portal kept me close to the walls and alive seeing as it was really my only movement/escape option. I died in the sanctum battle, having wondered .. away... IDK I really should have swapped one of my infusions for .. something.

Prodigies, Cauterize was very useful and I was rather abusive of it. I also took Unbreakable Will, to try to makeup for the lack of a mental wild. It may have worked.

Loolz.. Uhhm, I wanted to give my Golem a generic tree but somehow I found myself with 8 escorts down and nada yet with him +nadanadasitting there with 2 gen points since the arena = sooooo beggars can't be choosers.

Obvious identity issues from the start, didn't know where to go .. Str for decent armour.. then not necessary.. ugh.. lol

Pretty much straight magic and early-mid game on I was going for elemental damage, so another +30% at least that I gave up in damage when I switched to survivability and really pumped Con for end game. The Untouchable was pretty sweet and meets all of the shield reqs ( also Life Tap would proc this so win win).

So 6 Runes and not a lot of options really ( Vision runes?? uuhhh o.k.) but his damage output was actually rather decent ( ++ when combined with his Molten Skin and my Body of Fire) plus the runes have a certain synergy with Eye Beam. Dude was always on the move and despite being in the action still around when I needed a heal. Heck, I don't even feel bad about him hogging all the good artifact staffs.

Ended up with tech Conditioning=Vitality, +10 life regen and +20% heal mod. It works I guess.


With out Blood of Life this would have ended at the finish line. Huzzah!
