I was reading this post on steam, and that gave me the idea to make a random adventurer. First, I set it up:
1. Choose a random race (using random button)
2. Choose how many class talent trees you get, and how many generics ( I used 1d3 + 1d4 class trees, with (7 - that many) generics)
3. Count the number of each type, roll (computer) dice to see what you get. Reroll level 10+ trees(I had Stoic and Magebow loaded, so 136 class trees and 37 generics)
4. Put one point into as many trees as you can, as soon as you can and never remove them.
And here's how it went for my attempt:
Cornac, 4 class trees, 3 generic. Rolled Unarmed Discipline, Dirty Fighting, Slime, and Focus for my class trees, Survival, Staff Combat, and Chronomancy as my generics.
Starting out, I had one free category point (from being a Cornac, very lucky), and one class point. I decided to go for Unarmed Training to get my attack speed up, and swap between psi-staff+punching for melee and a Mindlash ranged build. Later, I changed to mostly focusing on the Slime tree, as it is pretty amazing (when it works). I ended up dying in Nur 2, after a couple of deaths to Bill, an adventurer party, a Worm that Walks, and finally some rare in Nur 2.
Apparently Mindlash now applies a debuff when you use it, increasing the cost by a stacking 100% for each time you use it within 4 turns. (this would be a good thing to mention in the talent description).
I'll probably try this again soon, it was interesting playing with such a constrained and odd character.
