This is my third character (the second one, a dwarf bulwark, is actually still alive, and I'll probably come back to it later). Not really knowing much about the game, I fumbled around a little bit, and ended up with a hybrid : I mostly kill things with arrows, but I can also hit those that reach melee range pretty hard (300 on a regular hit, 500-700 with flurry; not shown on the character report is an artifact sword that hits for quite a bit of ice damage). I also use stop and slow to debuff when enemies resist cripple and scatter shots. Oh, and I also quite like my rune of the rift.
I've lost 3 lives, 2 of them because my character didn't really have enough options at that point (assassin lord and weirdling beast), and 1 because of overconfidence (Urkis, he didn't have a lot of life left and hadn't done much until now, I let my HP drop too much before dimensional stepping away, but then noticed I had a thunderstorm I couldn't get rid of...). Since then it's been fairly smooth sailing.
As I've never been farther in the game, I have a few questions :
- What is the recommended order to do things in now? Vor armory, go back to the west to deal with backup guardians, then the orc prides?
- Am I missing anything important? More spellpower, more accuracy, or specific resistances? I have no stun resist, but I've been able to deal with it fairly well so far, between my wild infusion (still the starting one, because of its low cooldown), providence, and now that skill that Aeryn gave me.
- What should I spend my last cat point on, if I do get there? The final skill in the Time Travel tree seems very appealing, but I'm already short on talent points (hence why I unlocked harmony instead at level 30). Thoughts?
I won't be playing until next week, so the online report won't be changing for a little while :

Re: [b36] Thalore Temporal Warden (winner)
And in the end, I got my first win! I lost one more life to the Daikara backup guardian on a double-daze, but except for that I didn't have too much trouble until the high peak (the battle against the boss at the top of the tower that Tannen sent me to did take a while, because it kept freezing me; I only beat it once I stopped trying to hug the stairs). I skipped a few of the peak's randbosses (a horror hitting for a lot of damage and with way too much defense, a luminous horror that kept using shields and healing, and a stealthy runed bone giant). The last battle was easier than I thought, I closed the portals fast (with dimensional step and temporal wake), then I fired arrows until Aerynn died, after which I pillar-danced until I had Argoniel between Elandar and me. Killed Argoniel, then Elandar.
That character is very much a hybrid, decent ranged damage, quite powerful in melee, and enough spell power to pierce through enemy saves and slow/stun them quite reliably. I used a regen infusion, my starting wild infusion (yes, all the way through, I used it a lot to clear freeze, so I liked its short cooldown), and 2 shield runes (things started being much easier once I replaced my rune of the rift; that rune would be a lot more useful if it didn't tend to bring back enemies at full health...). I wore the eternal night set most of the time after I found it (confusion + blindness + disease + poison immunity is awesome; I even sometimes used retch to heal). I did however use body armor, cap and cloak with much more armor and elemental resistance for some places (the melee and mage prides, the final fight).
