Okay, so the short win isn't all that difficult, but I had fun nonetheless.

Teatime (pronounce Te-ah-tim-eh :D) put his Cornac cat point into gravity, since I thought that the movement-control spells there would come very handy in the arena. Didn't turn out to be a waste, but I think even better would have been age manipulation. Turn back the clock proved an excellent and flexible workhorse, and with 1.5 in the category I'd have gotten to effective talent level 4 and the double bolts even earlier. And later body reversion is a lifesaver, of course. Also very important: Static history (duh) and entropic field (dodging stuff). I didn't go into speed control at all, although it probably would have been very useful too (slow! stop! haste!).

I was a bit sad that precognition doesn't show the next rounds opponents - that would have been very cool.

Closest call was when a minotaur confused me, then walked on the fireblast trap in the middle and set me on fire. I came to with 38 life, burning for 40 per round, with damage shunt and body reversion (one round!) both on cooldown. I did have temporal reprieve, and now I notice that it's instantaneous, but at that moment I though it would take a round, a round I did not have. After a bit of looking I noticed that repulsion shield was available, and all was well... 8)

First arena winner this version, so I got to fight the standard Master of the Arena. That was mostly me putting distance between us and blasting him with turn back time, rethread and dust to dust. Sadly I didn't quite manage to kill him off with echoes from the past, I had to hit him with one last turn back time at the end.

Anyway, the arena rocks.
Ghoul never existed, this never happened!
