I finally succeeded in beating TOME 4 for the first time in Normal difficulty, and it was with a Shalore Doomed: http://te4.org/characters/735/tome/7293 ... 1cc000edf0
Until level 30+, I didn't even bother with the shadows, and I used them more as a distraction than a means of killing things. I focused mostly on the Force of Will and Punishments trees for offense. Unnatural body was a double-edged sword, because it made healing very, very inefficient. Doomed got hit with that nerf at the same time the Cursed did. For a while there I had switched to just using 2 shield runes, until I found a nice 900+ hp regen infusion, which I used even though it acted like a 450+ regen for Jasia. She ended up not needing her Ring of the Dead. For the most part she was rather durable (Deflection, Unnatural Body, Relentless). Since she didn't have any combat skills, I just equipped her with whatever weapon had the biggest Willpower bonus.
For a while there she used a Controlled Phase Door rune, but I later switched it to a Movement infusion. Interesting thing about those: If you activate Unseen Force and then the Movement infusion, the Unseen Force still hits things while you're moving around at super speed. It's nice in a pinch, though it's not something I could normally do more than once in a fight, since Unseen Force has a rather long cooldown.
Jasia was a slow but durable and efficient killer. Casters and Knockback-resistant enemies were difficult for her. Casters became significantly less horrible for her once she got Pity, and orc patrols were less difficult for her than they were for most of my characters. Blast is really good crowd control, especially in places where there are walls or trees for your enemies to smash into. Unseen Force was handy for cleaning up the stragglers who survived Blast. The Rune of the Rift tended to get used extensively, especially in boss fights. It was a combination of Rune of the Rift and Blasts and Agony that eventually killed the final two bosses. Aeryn the sun paladin distracted them for a while, when Jasia was closing the portals, but by the time Jasia got finished with the last portal, Aeryn was nowhere to be found, so I assumed they killed her. Jasia proceeded to Rift one boss, while pounding the other one with Blast and Willful Strike and Agony (to cause Madness) and Devouring their life. If one of them came back before she was ready to deal with him, she'd Willful Strike him halfway across the screen and go back to dealing with his pal. By the time he came back, the Rift would be ready for him again. She eventually got them both, though Elandar was more of a hassle since he had a penchant for going invisible and fleeing out of her range. Once she cornered him against a wall though, she was able to end it with a nice Blast.
