Hallowed fields quest files accumulate

Every time I enter any level I get a ~400k plumpkin's engine.Quest-xxx plus duplicated mod.class.Player-xxx files added to that zone's save and sometimes elsewhere.
At this moment 42+42 identical files in zone-dreadfell.teaz, 15+15 in zone-town-angolwen.teaz, 14+14 in game.teag, 13+13 in charball.
The latter grew to 10mb and server sync now takes a while.
I went on and completed the quest but the madness doesn't stop
