Auto-explore likes looking at items

#1 Post by Grey »

One problem I find with auto-explore is it really likes looking at items. This is great when it's a new item, but if you've manually walked over an item the auto-explore doesn't realise this and insists on going back to have a look at it itself. It sometimes feels like the auto-explore is like an excited dog on a leash, dragging me places I don't want to go... Otherwise it works great :)

This is one of the things I might prefer as an optional behavior. Some zones (Scintillating Caves) have floor tiles that make it really hard to spot items, and I often step on items without even noting what they are.

Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Yes, manually stepping on an item should remove it from the auto-explore "desired destinations" table.
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended

I prefer it as-is. Usually I'll walk all over stuff while I'm fighting or leading an escort, and I'd prefer auto-explore do the backtracking for me.
